question about passport request.. do i need to submit photos with the passport and the copy of email that i received

hi,

Just an update. Got PPR today. To God be the glory. God bless us all.

One more thing, my husband renewed his passport. Do we have to inform CEM about the change or we will just send the new passport?

thanks

Just send the new passport - make sure that appendix A is filled with details of the new passport. Also, add in an explanatory note on the new passport and add references, scanned copies of the old passport.

If there are no differences between the details in the info page of both passports (i.e. change in name, surname, etc.), then expect no issues.

P.S. Congratulations!

If these are in the instructions you received from the VO, yes - submit photos as well as a copy of the email.

Instructions vary from VOs/Processing Centres, so follow what is provided in the PPR letter given from the VO. Usually from CEM, photos and copy of the email (as proof of what the applicant has received as well as to serve as a final checklist of required items) are requested in the PPR email.

ragluf,,, pls advise:how long it take after passport submission to get passport back with visa???
Depends on from where it is sent. No definite and regular timeframe unfortunately.

I have seen posts with as high as 5weeks to 2 months ( this is for CEM and being sent to provinces) to as short as less than 2 weeks (within MM and nearby provinces). This is for CEM only as observed recently, not for other VOs/processing centres.

Do you have an application in CEM or do you have an application sent to another VO?

i just asked that coz they just want me to send my passport and copy of my email that i received. but it looks confusing coz in the french version of the email there's a link for the size of the photos but in english version it doesnt have any link for the size of the photos. then about the bio data form i didnt get any from them. do you think it will do no harm if i send 2 photos with my passport and copy of the email?

If the instructions are confusing - it is always best (and recommended practice) to reply back to the email, and ask clarifications to make sure and not to rely on your own interpretation of what is required. Reply back to the PPR email, or if you are in Canada, call up and ask clarifications on what exactly needs to be sent and what is not based on what docs you have received.
