I did. The reasoning for this is the intent and implications found in Question 4 of Schedule 4: Economic Classes - Provincial Nominees (IMM 0008-Schedule 4)

Funds
Indicate the amount of unencumbered (by debts or obligations) transferable and available funds you have in Canadian dollars.

And underneath is -
Declaration
Read the declaration carefully. Sign and date in the boxes provided. By signing, you declare that you fully understand the questions asked, and that the information you have provided is complete, truthful, and correct. If you do not sign and date, the application will be returned to you.

So even if it is not asked specifically in the checklist - reading through the Question - you are asked, but what is the proof you have these funds, if you do not show your bank statement or proof of these funds? Also the form is to be signed, which means a declaration from the applicant this is true - and to prove this and what is stated is true, attach supporting documents that shows this.

In my opinion, submitting a bank statement to support this form, will prelude any other questions leading to funds/financial capability. Even if it is not included in the checklist - it still follows the thinking "anything that strengthens the application add, anything that weakens it, do not include"

Very nice statement from sir ragluf, once declared, you should have proof that it's true. On my part, I did not include a bank certificate in the documents I submitted, since, as you mentioned, it was not required in the checklist. But, in the form, I declared how much funds I have and if ever they ask me to show proof of the funds, I can readily give them. In short, be sure that filled-up forms you sign are true and correct. :)

Paging Ragluf and other seniors who are already in Canada...!

We will be moving to Canada mid October and been looking for place to stay + school in the web and asked our niece in Manitoba to check them out. As she does not have children yet so would like to ask opinions of forumers. Usually bus is provided kung medyo malayo ang place nyo sa school (1.6km dun sa isang school website). Isa sa options namin, 600 meters away from the house so di covered ng school bus. Kung sa Pinas, "walkable" distance. Kaso, pag winter, kaya pa ba or sobrang challenge yun at di advisable? Thanks in advance for your inputs/advice.

Better wait for input from tabs179 and others in Manitoba - I am in NS and 600meters is walkable as we have milder winters (900meters from where I reside and the nearest Tims....). In Manitoba, the winters are quite different, and it depends also on the trails/sidewalks/paths to walk to school.
