You don't have "medical results have been received" in your status in eCAS?

Hi Ragluf,

Below is message in our eCAS.

"We received your application for permanent residence on December 31, 2012."

"Medical results have been received."

I agree - this is quite sometime between updates but not new and unheard of. But it is quite an exception to CEM. But note there are a lot of factors between the medicals and PPR. Some of them are:

Even if you have completed medical, paid RPRF, and submitted PCC, it is not by any means, completing all the admissibility checks. There is still security screening which is an internal process. When all of these (admissibility - medical, security, criminality etc.) are completed, then historically in process occurs or PPR.
Here are some possibilities assumed:
- Your medicals may have been received, but a medical officer has not made a determination if your medical results (decision may be pending) or not all of the medicals have been received.
- Your PCC may have been received, but an officer has not made a determination if criminality checks are complete (decision may be pending)
- Security screening has not been completed - results from internal agency inquiries have not been received or an officer has not made a decision on your security screening (decision may be pending)

The PAFSO strike may have impacted your file also, although there would still be some movement, expected.

Best way forward would be to get GCMS notes via ATIP if you can. This will show where your file is - although because of the strike, ATIP requests and sending of responses is also affected from what several posts in the forum have reported.

Also I suggest to review your email/inbox/spam folder. There may have been emails missed or sent automatically to spam.

Hi Ragluf,

Is it true that schools in Canada are accepting new students even midway of the school year? Problema kong malaki yung 2 anak ko (Grade 6 & 11)...paguwi naming ng pinas. Iilan-ilan lang ang schools na nagiistart ng September. They studied here in KSA in an American school...school break now.

Think of it as education is a basic right of the children (for lack of an exact description for this ;)) - so a child cannot be denied entry/registration into the public school system. You may want to take a look into the school boards links here for where you plan to settle and check their requirements: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/after-education.asp
The Newcomer's Guide for each province also provides good information on settling and education services for children of new immigrants.

Generally, newcomers will be assessed before they start school. Children not born in Canada will be assessed on their level of language skills as well as their general skill level to see which grade/school level their current skills and aptitude fits.

Thanks for the info. I should also start my flight hunting now. :)..binabalak namin umalis by October, hopefully by then settled na namin ang lahat. Good luck sa ating lahat! Happy cheap flight hunting hehe!

I had our flights for September reserved in April, even way before we received the PPR. To reserve means they give you the slot/s and a deadline for payment, depending on the carrier, deadline could be as short as 1 month (Cathay) or as long as 4 months (China Airlines). If you don't receive the PRV and could not pay on the deadline (they only let you pay if you already have the visa), then you lose nothing, just the reservation. If you get the PRV just in time, then you get the best rate. It's good to plan ahead. :)

BAKA NAMAN PARE PAREHAS TAYO NG VISA OFFICER,.,HEHE./.ANU SINABI MU SA EMAIL MU?./.GUSTO KO NA RIN SANANG ITRY

Yan din ang naisip ko dati, but after naming mag usap ni Pekto, thats not the case, iba yung sa kanya. I would agree with ragluf that the best thing to do right know if we really want to know the status of our application is thru GCMS. Hindi rin dahil nag work previously abroad kaya mabagal, kasi from our communication di naman kayo nag work abroad.

Di ko naman maisip na kapag nag follow up babagal process natin. ako plan ko mag followup thru formal letter via courier with sticker sa end of July. Sabi sa system generated reply nila, we have to give them 28 days to reply but they dont normally reply lalo na kung within processing times. Me nakausap ako na yung agent nya nag send ng letter then PPR na din sya but di ma confirm if true kasi di sila naka cc sa letter na sinasabi. Lets wait a little longer...

Ontario din ba kayo?

pekto - ontario
akinito - ontario
