Congrats!!! 11th year wedding anniversay namin yesterday.... i better check my email.... Godbless!
Can you share your timeline pls?

Greetings and well wishes also on your 11th year anniversary!

A small anecdote:
I remember when I was applying - as with all others anxious on their applications - I compare my timelines, and comb any and all things that may be related or give an inkling to my application status. No matter how I try to compare, and track, no pattern showed - my batchmates were getting updates ahead of me, my eCAS status was never timely updated - I was getting envious of all the others in my batch, in the batch later than me, in the batch much later than me, even from different VOs - every single one who seemed to have better progress than me. Yet I cannot establish a consistent comparison to estimate my application progress. I gave up trying to compare - too much frustrations was getting the better of me - I did contemplate to quit this goddam process many many times ...until I chanced upon one applicant whom I exchanged posts with, who I noticed that when he was posting his updates - a few days later, I would get the same update. Not scientific, no reason whatsoever (we were not of the same batch to CIO, came from different PNP programs and got nominations in different times, and had different situations, even different requested docs) - but this "pattern'" held all the way until delivery of our PPs (he got his a few days earlier than mine). I "tracked" my application versus his - by waiting upon his updates, and then checking mine. We ended up tracking our applications progress together. I had mentioned that he was the harbinger of good news - I disregarded the timelines posted here in this forum and instead opted to wait for his good news, and always expectant mine will come a few days later.....and it always did. We exchanged ideas, application updates and methods of submission of docs, things we picked up in the CIC web and in the various forums, all along the process, exchanging information which can be used by each other. This kept me sane....it was much better than checking eCAS! No expectations from the timelines certainly minimized the anxiety and the frustration....and the time flew much faster....

In a sense, I offer this anecdote, perhaps in relation to you both ninonhet and interested - a recollection I had when I saw the similarities in the 11th year anniversary :) - perhaps (and I hope) this may happen similarly to both of your application progress....who knows...

Or perhaps it is the kinship forged between two applicants that made the process much more bearable (even without updates)?

Cheers!

I won't deny it, it is a bit frustrating. It can drive one insane. I stopped comparing my timeline with others too. It is true that you won't really find much of a pattern. I try to occupy myself with other activities. Buti na lng I am super duper busy with work. Either way, I can't help at times to think about the progress of my application.

Congratulations to all and sana magdagsa ang PPR's :-)

A small anecdote:

Hi ragluf, thank you for sharing your experience. I was just trying to make things light, I really believe that no 2 applications are alike, Im saying this based on the 8 years weve observed the movement of applications. Sometimes it could really get upsetting but most of the times we are just thankful because we are facing all these as family and God has many times showed us reasons why we are still here. Just like you, frustration gets the better of me sometimes, and I need to remind myself that I must trust the One who knows the best for us. I thank God for this forum - where we could share our experience, our hopes, our dreams, our rants among other things. And yes I actually found new friends and exchange private messages with them.

Btw, it's my birthday today and I didn't even think about opening my email to check if there's a "gift" from CEM waiting for me...... ;D

Thank you ragluf for the time and effort you put in this forum.

interested I do recall seeing you here on the forums a very long time ago.

I'm glad you have finally found your 'gift'. :-) It is all about patience and of course faith.

Once again, congratulations and Happy Happy Birthday. May God grant you happiness, good health and a peace of mind always.

;D
