Hi, welcome sa thread.

Depends on whether if you get sent to the UK for knowledge transfer, you are "bonded" for a number of years to the company. Sometimes companies, to protect their investment in people, do ask/require people they send for overseas training/exposure to commit themselves to the company for a defined period. If there are no terms like this, then being identified for KT and sent for international exposure may mean the company does value you and has plans for you. Then it comes down to the the relationship and trust between you and your boss and your standing in the company.

If this happens in the immediate coming months, well then you can grab it. But then, with one eye on your plans to immigrate, as long as you are part of your company, you are still expected to perform to the best of your abilities. Cascade your learning in that KT to those under you, building up a couple of persons who can step in and perform in your stead when then time comes to leave. This way, your company does not also lose out immediately, and the transition is better. Knowing that there is someone ready to handle your duties when the time comes for you to leave does often ease the anxiety of your managers and will pave an easier acceptance of your decision. It will also reflect on you - knowing that you put in plans for your organization's benefit reflects on your character. Leave always on the best of terms as possible.

In the end, it is your life, and you do what is best for you. But be wary of burning bridges along the way - your paths may intersect, you may need a referral, a recommendation, a certificate - so avoid this (burning bridges) as much as possible.

Hello,

I am new to this forum because I am planning to apply for MPNP under the General stream (thru my friend) soon. I would just like to ask if you know any case that the MPNP application was approved under the sponsorship of a close friend only? Hope someone would enlighten me regarding this matter. Thanks and God bless! :)

Hi guys,

Just joined this thread. I'm waiting for my original LOA but my employer already informed me that she received her copy already. I want to ask if my 5 y/o daughter (outside Canada) should apply student permit or TRV using our LOA? I read that only 6 y/o above needs student permit but my daughter is going to school (kindergarten) too which is permanently. Should I apply study permit or just TRV?

Congrats to all guys who got PR already :)

Hi, Welcome to the thread...

Hello.

If I will be the one in that case, if your company is really honest to you. I suggest you ask your manager if ever you will send off to UK, it it covers you a bond to stay in the company and for how long?

Kasi sa akin in less than 4mos after medicals received, passport request na ako and turning to 5mos, visa issued, I presumed based you have on posted:
=========================
Med Request: April 12, 2013
Med Done: May 9, 2013.
=========================

Most likely your visa for entry will expire either by April, I estimate and take note at magdilang anghel naman ako ;D
September ang passport request mo, and November ang balik nito with VISA....

Ang sa akin, I suggest you tell your manager, your plans, ako ganun din ginawa ko, sinabi ko ang scenario ng possible timelines ko at nagtugma lahat. Actually ako naman, my visa will expire by October, sabi ko dati I will left the company sana by September pero I had to change my plans kasi for my kids who needs to be enrolled by August.

Hello everyone! yesterday we received an email for the 3rd time requesting for submission of rprf. :( nkakafrustrate.. The cheque was sent through courier March 10 and received March 12, 2013. March 27,2013 they emailed us again for RPRF and police clearance. We sent a copy of cheque & dhl tracking sheet as proof. Then, yesterday RPRF ulit. We're planning to send another cheque, this time in Philippine peso and made payable to CEM. :( >:(
