Now usually, your PR organization (MPNP, AINP, etc.) may send you an email regarding the next steps to do. I take that as additional confirmation while the PPs have not been received yet.

I meant your PNP program office (AINP, SINP, BCPNP etc.) usually sends you an email notifying you that your application had been finalized and giving you information on resources on settling in Canada, available programs for new immigrants etc. This email or letter may arrive earlier that your PPs. I take this as CEM/VO or CIC has notified the respective PNP program office that the applicant has completed the federal PR application process. In turn, the respective PNP program office contacts the successful applicant and sends information to be able to better prepare the new immigrant to resources/programs funded by the province to help in the settlement of the new immigrant.

This to me, if you receive such letter, is further confirmation that visas have been issued and PPs are enroute to be returned. Sorry if this confused you...

Hi Ragluf may i just ask how long is the waiting period for MR after receiving the AOR fr CIO? IS THE Mr sent tru postmail or EMAIL. THANKS!

Answered this one in this reply:

There is no fixed number of weeks or months when you can expect the PPR. It sometimes comes within 1~2 months, or sometimes extends up to 3~4 months from submission of MR. It is not consistent. It is during this time that additional checks are done (security, etc.). You will get a PPR when all the chcks have been completed.

The only consistent basis so far that I see is the total duration of the whole process - in the case of CEM, it is 11months. See the link.

Now - I am assuming that in your applications you put in your email address? If so then the means of communication will be primarily via email. Most communications will be via email exception are if there are official/numbered documents sent to you - these documents are sent via post.

The MR is only part or maybe part of a group of instructions sent to you after your AoR. Expect several instructions to be sent to you via email that may or may not include the following:
- instructions on payment of RPRF
- submission of updated police certificates/NBI
- initial instructions to schedule a Immigration Medical Examination (IME)
- updates to any information in the application (i.e. added travel history etc.)
- submission of status updates (change in address, new family member)
- any other additional requirements requested

The MR to clarify is usually composed of two parts:
- the initial instructions to schedule an IME (can be sent via email and maybe part of a list of instructions)
- the official IME form (IMM1017) with applicant's picture and stamped and dated (and sent via post - this is an official/numbered document). One form each per applicant and dependents.

Without the IME form (IMM1017) you cannot complete the IME as this will be provided to the physician who performs the IME. So you have to wait for the form to be received via mail before going for an IME.

FYI. You can use the search function in this forum to search for answers to your questions if you see the numerous pages are too many to backread; try to devote sometime searching as there are a lot of answers floating around the whole forum, not just on this thread.

@ANL wala pa ako AOR naghihintay pa din ako hangang ngayun. kase may nakita ako dito sa forum na nakareciv na MR thru email tapos naka attached na din ung parang MR form pero hindi ako sure kung ang VO nya is manila din. tapos meron naman ako kilala na VO manila na nakareciv sa email and via postmail ng MR. kaya medyo naguluhan lang ako. bka dito talga saten via postmail talaga ung form na kailangan ipakita dun sa doctor. goodluck!

Well on 2nd thought appleguy - I just read through the new OP for the IME process. As of Oct 2012, IMM1017 was revised. See this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob471.asp

Not seeing right now the impacts as a result of implementation of this OP. Most likely MRs issued post Oct 2012 will have changes/new instructions/new forms included.

i would like to ask a question about the financial situation question in settlement fund form.

do we have to declare everything including house mortgage even if we me meet the required amount of cash?
the house belongs to my in-laws but they asked me to apply for a loan since they're outside the country. is it going to affect my application?

Most of the forms as specified in the OP should be coming from the physician.
Before this OP, usually what is provided to the applicant is only IMM1017, which you bring to the IME. After the IME is completed, there are some other forms which are signed along with the IMM1017, in the presence of the physician, and you leave all forms with the physician. Note - this may have changed with the implementation of the OP (i.e. eMedical perhaps no more physical IMM1017 sent via mail? - streamlines the process).

Best way forward is to wait for your MR to arrive, instructions how to proceed are included.
