What an ending to the week! God's grace be with those waiting next week - may more good news come next week.

thanks ragluf.. all the best to us.. God bless.. ;D

Congrats to stuart and rylai. Today, we crossed the Peace Arch Border Crossing and went back to process our immigrant visa. The officer asked few questions and then gave us his congatulations for becoming a Permanent Resident in Canada. It probably took us 15 minutes to process our permanent residency. God bless to everyone with their application. I hope everyone will get their residency soon :)

for those who will do their medical at nationwide their fee now is 5k plus 50 for courier fee.

You can also try Timbol Clinic. 4K only and not so many patients. They can submit results in a week or so.

If I may, on entry at the immigration checkpoint, just be your normal effervescent self the way you have been in this forum. :)

Almost all immigration officers are uneasy when dealing with a new immigrant/newcomer - well they do not know if they can communicate well enough and understand each other (the language barrier ....) :). Put them at ease by greeting them and smile. If there comes an opportunity, break the ice and make small talk and remark about the weather ... (people here love talking about the weather)....

All the best!...

Not at all. The officer even joked about how long will it take for us to get our permanent residency card. When it is your turn to talk to the officer, greet him/her with a smile on your face. Most of the officers are friendly. And most of the questions he/she will ask you is not that hard to answer. Just be yourself as you are here in the forum. For example, the officer might ask you where will you live in Canada. It is usually the address were you want your PR card to be delivered. The officer will also ask you regarding your CoPR. Which in my opinion just to verify all the info written there are correct. Then you have to sign both pages. You will also be asked to keep your CoPR as it is the main document you have to present in cases you lose or did not receive your PR card. I hope this helps! :)

Hello to everyone!

I'm just new here :) I really want to inquire which is the best option to go to Canada. I'm working in Dubai, UAE as Office Manager for 8 years. I know this position is not under category for skilled worker but I hope that there is other way or best option to live permanently in Canada. I would love to hearing from you, guys. Any prompt advice would be greatly appreciated :) TIA.

Congrat's to those who already got their visas! May God bless us all!

Yes they are open on Saturdays. From 9am until 12 noon, until the last patient is seen. Medyo mahirap lang hanapin ang clinic since the building is not so obvious from Pasay Road/Arnaiz Avenue. Good luck!
