Gandang araw po sa lahat. Finally, nakasecure na kami ng appointment for the medicals after days na nangungulit kung may nag-open na slot. whew!

i know its way too early for me to ask this, ano po bang trend ngayon kung how many months/weeks inaabot from the time mareceive ng CEM ang passports up to the time na maibabalik sa inyo?

Thanks po ulit and God bless us all

Well sa mga nakikita ko sa ilang threads, medyo disappointing :(. So just dwelling on the positive...

Eto ang nakalagay sa Passport Request Letter. (Excerpt):
"We will make our best efforts to have your passport(s) returned to you with your visa(s) within 90 working days from their receipt at the Embassy. You should not make any plans to travel to Canada until you are in possession of your passports and their required visas."

I don't know kung pareho sa lahat ng nakasaad sa mga PP request letter. But I read it as we should be expecting passports to be returned within 3 months. This would mean pwede din natin sila kulitin kapag lumagpas na sa 3 months ;D ;D ;D. Well IMHO, they (CEM) set the expectations :):) ....

hello po,, bago lang po ako dito.. i would like to join this thread..my timeline is as follows:

MR: feb 22, 2012
Med done: March 6, 2012
Med recvd: April 2012
In process: Aug 21, 2012

Thanks ulit ragluf. 90 working days. so parang at least 4 months (including Sats, Suns, and Holidays). Medyo matagal din pala. Am starting kasi to assess our options just in case makatanggap na kami ng PPR whether or not stay in a foreign land without a passport or if its better to just go home and wait for the passports to be returned there. but then again, if we decide to go home, we'd have to inform CEM of the change in address, employers, and such (which i guess would be cause for another delay). haaay, any advice?

Thanks ulit

Well - me ramifications nga if you choose to move back to the PH and wait for your PPR. You are asked in the PPR to where or what address will the PPs be sent back to. Yet still, you need to inform CEM of that change in your address should you do so mid-application. That is why the hardest part in this process is the waiting - and that wala kang magawang paraan to speed it up - madalas mid-application wala na sa kamay mo yan.

Think of the positive right now in your current situation - you have work, living in a foreign country away from home, and with your family (tama ba?) while still processing your application - think of the other applicants out there - they are not in the same position as you are. If you had to show adaptability and resilience in settling in a foreign country - well you have that experience.:). Plus for your evaluation.

Too often - in scanning other forums and threads - I see stories of impatience and losing hope sa tagal ng process. IMHO - it is putting ALL your hopes and plans in one basket (the Canadian dream) that drives desperation. Once desperation sets in - well you can't really see the big picture - other options may exist aside from the Canadian dream.

My advice: you have time - allow the process and things to settle down and into their proper places in the coming weeks. Sometimes, opportunities come while we least expect it - malay mo - hindi sa Canada ang swerte mo :) :). Keep your eyes open while the application is running its due course. Use that time in-between wisely.

Keep the faith - di ka nag-iisa, madami tayong ganito ang sentimyento.

/hope this helps....

Hi plaque, share ko lang some of my ideas and what I went through, dahil yan exactly katanungan ko noon. Sa kakasaliksik ko, nakita ko mga kasagutan sa mga forums, groups, messaging people, etc. We have the same situation, diba? Yun nga lang, magkakasama kayo dito sa SG. At PR pa kayo. In my case, epass holder ako, pero iniisip ko naman, may AWS na palalagpasin ko at 2 months bonus before the Chinese New Year, napipintang ang PPR ko will be in 1-2 months time. Here are the scenario's for you: MR ka na, after you complete all medical tests and all of you in the family pass them, in 1-2 months time ang RPRF. Give it about another 2-4 months ang PPR. Passports stay with the embassy from 2 weeks till 90 days. You can stay in SG and risk not having passports for 3 months, if you're willing walang mag travel sa inyo within that period of time. You can all courier your passports to CEM. Regarding change of address, do ask CEM if it will delay your processing. But I don't think so. Changes of status will delay your processing of papers. Not even change of job will delay your status, kasi approved ka na. Sa pagkaka-alam ko, after medical request, all correspondence of RPRF and PPR is done thru email. Even additional documents. Lalo sa AINP Family Stream. Your scenario is just staying in SG and risking not having passports in a foreign land. It's not illegal since you're PR here. It has been done by PNP applicants in the States instead of coming home. Keep in mind that your medical clearance date (when you've submitted your medical results to CEM) is your deadline to be here in SG (or Philippines, should you guys decide to come home later on), kasi visa validity is your medical validity - say mapasa nyo medical nyo end of this month, dapat mabigyan kayo ng visa before Sept 2013. Dapat mag land kayo ng Canada before Sept 2013. Minsan kasi, kahit PPR na, may bigla pa sila'ng hihingin na additional documents. Habang umaakyat ang progreso ninyo sa pag aayos nito, it will come to you din the right decision :)
