Hi sir ragluf good day,

I am waiting for my PPR this time, but my IELTS validity is going to expire this coming April 24.. My question is, could this affect to my current status? I mean is this expired IELTS maybe a cause of pending of my application?
No. The information provided at the time of application is 'locked in'. IELTS was received valid, and will be 'locked in' as valid for the duration of the application processing. So no issues with your IELTS expiring soon - your application is already in the midst of processing.

As mentioned before, maraming posibleng nagaganap na may kinalaman sa 'processing'.

Hi idiana,

I'm not a doctor, but there's a high probability that it will be an issue with the medicals...
Seek medical help ASAP to lower down the abnormal levels.
It is advisable to be at the best health possible during the medical examination. This is primarily to avoid medical furtherance (e.g. additional tests, medical prescription) which not only further add to the expense, but also affects our timeline since more often than not, these are re-scheduled at a later date.

... Good luck to all of us ...
Seriously? Nag pa blood chem ako last February at yun nga yung nakita ng doctor. Pero sabi naman nya is intake lang ng a lot of fluids yun. Pero sana wala lang yun! :(

Hi Guys,

Just a wild question.

Ang iniiwasan naman sa medicals is finding out any symptoms or results that lead to conditions falling under medical inadmissibility or refusal based on health grounds. So there are two main (and broad" reasons for refusal:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/admiss/index.asp

An applicant may be refused on health grounds – if their condition:

is likely to be a danger to public health or public safety, or
might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand on health or social services

Ang common example nyan is TB. TB is termed still as a public health issue - considering na communicable ito. A person having active TB is seen as a danger to public health (danger of transmitting the disease to the general population). So if nakita sa results ng medical na active ang TB ng isang applicant, malaki ang possibility na ma-refuse based on health grounds. Kaya madaming ginagawang follow-up if me nakitang traces of TB - at madalas papasok sa medical furtherance ang nakitaan ng TB.

Now another example, if me symptoms ka na leading to discovery of a condition like - lets say leukemia/forms of aggressive cancer or major diseases - then managing this may cost more than what is the threshold per person per year - and maaring papasok ka sa refusal based on excessive demand to health and social services.

So yung mga symptoms or findings - like high uric acid, etc., me mga limits yan. Maaring high ang uric acid, pero not high enough to indicate me posibilidad na me iba pang sakit at kailangan ng added tests para ma-rule out ito.

Ideal is no signicant findings ang result sa clinic after mag-medical, hindi significant enough leading to refusal on health grounds.

Hi Sir ragluf,

Good day po! mag papa test ako ulit this Thursday sa blood and urine pati na din chest PA. I'll be doing this test again at itatanong ko po ulit yung mga pwede mangyari. Hoping for a better result. Salamat po sa advice sir.

You can do that, for your peace of mind. For all intents and purposes, if after the medical exam you are not called to do any follow-up and futherance, you should be in the clear. For conditions of significance, additional tests are done - so if no added tests, you should be fine.

Conditions of significance are listed here - see IMEIs

Hi Guys,

Sana may makatulong.

Hi ericczed,

You may want to read:

Discretionary Jurisdiction to grant special relief

The Immigrant Appeal Division (IAD) continues to have the power to grant relief to those sponsored members of the family class who are medically inadmissible. The member may grant their appeal if they are satisfied that at the time the appeal is disposed of "taking into account the best interests of a child directly affected by the decision, sufficient humanitarian and compassionate considerations warrant special relief in light of all the circumstances of the case".

This is from "Medical Inadmissibility - Ch. 3, page 21 - Topic: Sponsorship Appeals" of Health Grounds - Medical Inadmissibility Section 38 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

"Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) preserves a discretionary power for members of the IAD to offer special relief from this ground of medical inadmissibility."

... search mo na lang sa https://www.canada.ca/en/index.html

What I'm trying to saying is, if ever, there are ways to appeal medical inadmissibility (which we're hoping won't be the case conclusion with your application..).
... Consider looking into it ... saying naman kasi, it's best to be prepared.

... Good luck to all of us ...
thanks po "go north" sa information at sa concern na rin khit pano coz i know di mo po bibigay sakin ung mga info na un kung di rin kayo somehow concerned..actually nag try na din akong magbasa basa bout medical inadmissibility cases, somehow may kunti pang pag-asa akong kinakapitan kc may mga nanalo ding cases, kaso mukhang nid ata ng immigration lawyer pag dumating ang conclusion nmin in order to defend us siempre mas expert na cla to handle those cases kesa sa amin kc mukhang nasa delivery din un para ilatag mo ung stand mo sa knila, ang kaso dun sa bayad ng mga gnun na ako pinanghihinaan ng loob dhil they are quite expensive, at mukhang sa laban na to ay big amount of money must be presented from us to prove them na kaya nming suportahan ang anak ko pagdating sa "social services" na irerender sa knya, eh halos ung ibang ipon nmin ay nasa showmoney na nmin..kaya i'm hoping and praying na may mga paraan ang dyos at tao na pwede nyang gamitin para masagot ang mga obstacles na to.. kung ito nga tlga ay para sa amin..only God will provide answers..still keeping the FAITH..
