The question should be (applicable for PNP applicants):
if CIO (not CIC) considers your application complete....

A short description for the process would be : The CIO can be described as a “pre-screening” office - applications are perused for eligibility to the PNP program being applied for, and checked for compliance to IRPA regulations/rules. If the application is considered complete at this stage, then an AOR is sent from CIO, specifying compliance and along with your receipt for payment of fees. The application is sent/transferred to the VO for further processing. At this point, the application has been “handed-off” to the VO, and no more documents/requests/correspondence from the CIO is expected.

If there are documents missing in the initial submission to CIO, or if there are forms unfilled, signatures missing, payment method wrong oftentimes the whole package is returned to the applicant to rectify the issues, before resubmission.

As soon as the file has been transferred to the VO all correspondence is now sent between the VO and the applicant. Another AOR (among other instructions) is normally sent specifying that all correspondence from this on will be sent to the VO.

At the VO, further processing usually entails admissibility review - which means additional documents/procedures are requested to determine if the applicant can be admitted into Canada. This is where medical examinations (part of medical checks), updated police certificates (part of security/criminality checks), and clarifications on background travels, gaps in personal history, among other things, are requested.

/..atb
Cheers, so that means there is still possibility they might ask for further updated documents. Might as well be mentally prepared. :D

Patulong po, newbie lang po ako dito:

Eto po yung ECAS status namin (AINP):

We received your application for permanent residence on May 11, 2012.

We started processing your application on January 23, 2013.

Medical results have been received (updated July 11, 2013).

Dalawa po ang question ko:

1. Nakareceived po kami ng e-mail letter noong Nov 4, 2013 galing ng Immigration visa section na "for further medical" po kami, kasi expired na yung first medical (Sep 2012-Sep 2013) c/o strike cgro. Kailangan daw matanggap ang result before Nov 4, 2013, pero kase-send lang po yung e-mail on that day- Nov 4, 2013, typo error ho ba yung deadline day? Yung attached PDF copy for the Doctor/Clinic was dated 24Sep13, pero nag-e-mail lang po sila on Nov 4, 2013. Then sabi sa PDF kailangan ma-comply within 90 days. Sa PDF copy ho ba kami mag-rerely ng palugit or sa e-mail?

2. After yung closing at signature section ng e-mail, meron pong other requirements( NBI, application form, passport, etc) with heading: "PLEASE SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW FOR FURTHER INFORMATION on REQUESTED ITEMS".

· change in health;
· the laying of any criminal charges or conviction for a criminal offence;
· change in your mailing address / e-mail address and/or telephone number
Failure to inform this office of any changes of the above may render you and your family members inadmissible to Canada. If you have already been issued immigrant visas, you are not allowed to arrive in Canada without informing this office in writing of any of the above circumstances and receiving our specific direction on the next steps you must take. Failure to declare family members (dependants) during processing will permanently exclude them from later sponsorship in the Family Class, according to paragraph 117 (9) (d) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations 2002. You cannot declare new or previously undeclared dependants when you arrive in Canada and if you do, you and your accompanying family members will all be denied entry into Canada.
better ask or inquire CEM regarding the deadline of your 2nd medical or pamedical na kayo agad while waiting for their reply pra masubmit na sa CEM ang result... disregard the last section of the e-mail.. you dont have to submit those documents unless "REQUESTED", in your case, medical lang naman ang request nila..

Thanks for that enlightenment..anyhow I sent my emailed request to CEM this morning, however given the fact that they requiring 30-day period to submit the PP, do you think they will allow possible extension or grace period having my scenario stated in compliance with the working visa or permits regulations being now implemented in Saudi Arabia? (please read my previous posts..)
I pray that CEM may allow to extend more days in submitting our passports, or else it might be delayed for 10 days before reaching VO in Manila.
Sorry Bro nagyon lang uli ako nakapga-logged-in. Ragluf has already addressed most of your concerns. What I want to suggest is for you to ask CEM if you can send ahead your family's passports and to follow na lang your passport once your iqama is renewed. At least...you have already partially fulfilled their request.

Excellent! @cardinal11 - I second that suggestion - partial compliance is better than none-at all and requesting for an extension. It bodes well for showing the efforts in complying to the initial request and then requesting for an extension for things that cannot be provided in the timeframe given. This comes off as a very reasonable request. (you are actually offering the passports of your Family as "hostage". :) dependent on you - as the PA - delivering on your promise to send your PP to follow)

I have found VOs to be rather reasonable and understanding, but given they also have lots of applications to go through, assume they have limited time to "see and understand" what you are trying to convey - don't let them make the decisions on their own by relying on what they can get to in the timeframe to read through and assess your request. Try to direct them to making the decision favorable to you by explaining the situation as clearly as possible, and supporting the request with documentation, or public web links with current information that supports your request.

Many thanks po sir ferdzmigz for your clarification.
Nag-e-mail na po ako sa kanila on that very same day (Nov 4), kaya lang po until now (after 4 days), wala pang reply.
Ask ko lang po if ok lang bang mag-email sa kanila ulit if wala pang reply every after 5 days? Hindi ho ba nakaka-apekto sa decision if we forward persistent e-mails? Usually ho, gaano kabilis ang reply nila?

Maraming salamat po ulit sir.

if you have received a confirmation receipt of your query, don't bother to ask or email again, usually matagal bago sila magreply (reply/service standards is 28 days) kung ako sa iyo just do what they have requested you to submit that is medical exam., the soonest. sa case ko kc pag meron mga additional docs na hinihingi, 1 mo. ang binibigay nila palugit pra masubmit yung docs. ( ex. Nov. 4 ang date ng email, submit the docs on or before dec. 4 )

My hubby stayed here for 2 years and I for 1 year and 7 months.

Exit Singapore na po kami on 26 November 2013 to give way to the preparations of migrating to British Columbia on the 3rd Week of February 2014.

Hope I can hear from you po.

Thanks in Advance!

Flor Co

Send email ASAP to MPNP and inform them of the correct contact number of the sponsor. If your friend applied 3 months ago then most probably he utilized the on-line tool in sending his application and for sure received an AOR (file number). Just use the file number as reference in sending the email. Goodluck!
