Outland or Inland application?
If the heading does not still show the VO address - if it came from CIO-Sydney, NS
and it mentions: - Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing

This is CIO's acknowledgement of your application. Once your file has been transferred to a VO for continued processing), there will be another AOR, this time indicating the file has been created for the application. Additional instructions are then included or will then follow this AOR.

/...
Outland application.

Thanks for this, will then have to wait for any further AOR or instructions.

Done with our medicals today at SLEC Global City! To those who have gone to that clinic...usually how long does it takes before they transfer the results to CEM???

Also, my passport will expire Aug 2014...kailangan ba na i-renew ko na or it will be OK for visa stamping ...if supposed I'll get PPR by December??? Pakisagot lang po du'n sa mga with the same experience. ;D

hi ad123164,

if there is no problem with the medical results, SLEC global will send your medical results to CEM within a week. my experience was i had my medicals last oct 23, then i called them ad confirmed that they already sent it to CEM last oct29.

para walang hassle at hindi ka kinakabahan, it would be better to renew it. usually, they are allowing to stamp the visa if meron pang at least 6 months. but to be sure, magpa renew ka na.

The better measure is when your medicals were received. Assuming your medical results are received (at CEM) 2-3 weeks (conservative estimate plus medical assessment complete) from now, then your medicals expire 1 year from this date (lets assume 26 Nov, so your medicals expire 26 Nov 2014). Usually PR visas are issued with the validity up to the expiration of the medicals, so based on the medical dates alone, (again for this example) expect your PR visas to have a validity of up to 26 Nov 2014.

However, CIC does not issue visas with validity of more than that of the existing passport validity date, so if your PP expiry is Aug 2014, then your PRV expiry is expected to be Aug 2014 (not the medicals validity date).

Assuming you get PPR by December - and if you plan on landing before Aug 2014, then you have enough leeway.

I would point out that there are advantages for renewing the passports when possible:
- renewal of PPs in Canada takes a longer time and will hinder travel
- this is an update to your application - the new information on PPs (new) can be used as a means to focus attention to your application when you find things slowing down. This I did - I renewed our passports mid-processing, and when the gaps between MR and PPR was getting too long, sent the new information (email/post) as an update to our application to presumably "wake up" CEM.

/...hth

I also have the same dilemma, my passport expires on May 2014. But I decided to renew my passport as soon as I complete my Medical Examination, which I am waiting for a request.

Thanks RAMCAL & RAGLUF! For your insights....I'm quite confident (GOD willing) that I'll get fast processing to PPR like Kidlat... same experience as mine...application ending-up in ADVO. Nevertheless, I'm still praying that it gets through...no hitches...my daughters need to continue their schooling ASAP! Maraming salamat uli! ;D ;D ;D

clarify ko lang:

Manila (CEM) to Agency (Alberta, Canada) = DHL
Agency to Dubai = FedEx

Manila -> Canada -> Dubai = 1 week transport using DHL and FedEx
hi kelotz,

thanks

There are two instances you may update your PP details:
1. Renew and send the new PP details as an update to your application before PPR or
2. Wait for PPR and update PP details using Appendix A

Either way, the most current PP details will be referred (aside from medical results validity) to come up with the validity date of your PR Visas. Also consider if your PP is not the e-passport (biometric) yet - it is actually encouraged to replace them with the e-passport.

hi silverduz,

mayron na akong NBI form na kinuha ko sa Phil Embassy sa Abu Dhabi. Eto yung kulay blue. Tapos na rin akong nagpafinger print sa CID. Nasa Phil Embassy na yung form for notarization.

thanks
