The concept is good, but it seems the real-life application is something else! We might not know all the implications, as they say, "The devil is in the detail"

the eportal is supposed to make you get the card quicker. the COPR is electronic so you would download it and print it and sign it once your address has been accepted. some people waited on the mail copr for 2 months and then some more months for the card before the portal option. some people got eCOPR with a week, some are still waiting and it is the holiday season now.

How did you receive the letter by mail or was it an email? Just to know if they are working today and tomorrow...

you have AIP. next is decision made, then possibly the portal then Copr and then the card could take weeks to months to finish all.
So this remark above is basically an AIP? Because I received the same remark on my renewed Work Permit but I thought it was just a simple remark that I applied for PR...

Initial approval means you means that you meet the requirements to apply for pr. and that is basically what the eligibility (AIP) letter states.

Any March applicant who is still waiting for AIP.Mine No update since September 2019
if you are using the client application status tool you won't see any updates regarding AIP only when they have made a decision I believe. (We sent you correspondence on ........... about the decision on your application). any letter or anything your lawyer would mostly receive it since you are using one.

After medical instruction in September 2019
nothing. Lawyer is saying wait. I called help line they are saying we don’t need any thing from you. Your security is passed. Criminality in process. Eligibility is not started yet. I ordered notes on 22 December 2020 for the first time.
