Thread for the people who sent application to CPC-M btwn 20 July to 20 Aug

I landed in early November and brought most of my goods in on January 6. The only thing I have left to do is import my car. I had to return to the US last week due to the death of my brother and drove back into Canada yesterday (Sunday) with the intention of importing my car while I was at the border. Unfortunately the US export office is only open Mon-Fri from 8:30-4:00. I thought I would get hassled trying to cross in with the car, but it wasn't a problem. Does anyone know how long I have to complete the importing of goods? I would prefer to stay here and settle in a bit before heading back to the US again as I have been traveling too, too much lately and am scheduled to fly to France in about 3 weeks.

GOT MY PASSPORT WITH VISA. VISA WAS ISSUED JAN 21. 3 MOS ONLY AFTER MANILA RECIEVED MY APPLICATION; PRAISE GOD!!!HERE IS MY TIME LINE:
AUGUST 27 - HUBBY SENT APPLICATION
SEPT - APPROVED AS SPONSOR
OCT 15 - E-CAS IN PROCESS/ REQUEST FOR PPT
OCT 27 - DROPPED PPT IN CANADIAN EMBASSY MANILA
JAN 27 - DECISION MADE
FEB 3 - PASSPORT WITH VISA
MARCH 28 - VANCOUVER AIRPORT!

Just wanted to update everyone. I arrived back in Canada yesterday, with my husband! Landing was super easy, all they asked him was, do you have any criminal history and if he had any children...then done!

I hope the rest of you have a great experience like we did.

Hi, Hope you are doing well? I am just curious to know how long you were with your husband before you married?
I have a similar situation; my hubby is algerian (I have 2 kids, he has none and never married, I have never been married, have different backgrounds). My only worry to be denied is that we were together for a short time before marrying...

Hubby go his call from Paris this morning....APPROVED!!! I am in shock!!!

Timeline

App arrived CIC-M August 7th
Sponsorhip Approved
Paris started processing Oct 28th
APPROVED DEC 29th!!!!

Total of 144 days or 4 months and 22 days!

And just a little more info on our case. I am a Cdn Citizen since a small child, he is from a 3rd world country. It's my 2nd marriage, his 1st, I have 2 kids, we are from different religions and cultures and we didn't have even one problem with immigration, no interview needed either.

GOOD LUCK to the rest of you out there, it's a difficult journey. I hope that you all have the same great news soon and are reunited with your loved ones!!!
