Does any one know how long it could take the LVO to make a decision once they have all the updated information. Received a letter asking for another criminal record check from my husbands home country of Hungary, a signed schedule A and travel history. the status says that we are still in process. I am not sure what to think at this point as we did receive a pre arrival services to Canada after they requested they the additional information. My husband is living in the U.K. right now.

Hard to say, but the pre-arrival services is the thing they send immediately before approval. Sounds like they decided to 'tick a box' as a last hurdle for you. Only a guess, but I would guess 'days or weeks - not months' once they get the information they have requested.

I know the feeling! Then once you have landed, repeat the process waiting for your PR Card!!

I don't mind the wait for the card. At least once I get the letter in the mail I can land and work!

Thank you for the information. I am hoping it wont be long now. it has been a long road. we started with ARC in 2014 and again in 2016 and were denied both times. We sent in the Application for Spousal sponsorship back in June of 2017. It has been a very long road for us but we are hanging in there.

After your medical passed, did you have an update on ECAS saying your PR application is now under process (with a new date after the medical) or something like that?

The update on ECAS appeared after the application was transferred to LVO with the AOR2 date. Medical was passed before the transfer.

I applied to sponsor my husband (Egyptian living/working is Saudi Arabia) in September 2017. Our file was transferred to the London Visa Office on December 29th, 2017 and we have not received any update since this.

The online application status hasn't changed since the file was assigned to the LVO:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 12, 2017.
2. We started processing your application on December 29, 2017.
3. We sent you correspondence on November 1, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
4. We sent you correspondence on November 6, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. Medical results have been received.

I emailed the LVO on May 14th, 2018 and they sent me a message back on June 4th stating "Please be advised that this application awaits a full review in London. Once this review has taken place, we will be in contact.

I requested the GCMS notes on June 8th, 2018 and just received them this morning. All it really seems to say is the application is in progress. Assessments - Eligibility, Security and Criminality have all not started and are all showing a due date of 2018-11-01. Only the medical is showing as passed and info sharing as complete. On 2018-04-19 it is showing Primary Gulf Fact-Finding which is in progress.

I don't know what this means? That they haven't been started processing yet it seems.

We hired a lawyer so we are unable to link the application and see the GCKey updates.

I am starting to get very concerned as we are now passing the 10 month mark and nothing seems to be happening. I am wondering if anyone has any advice or information they could share with me?

Your case is mostly identical to mine except my processing date is Nov 20 2017. I'm also a Sep 12 applicant, my wife lives in Saudi Arabia, no updates from LVO to this date, last GCMS notes received May 15 showing Gulf Fact-Finding process started 2018-04-19 and in progress.

Hoping for an updates this month or the next at most. My local MP would only help if the 12 months passes until then there's nothing we can do but wait with concerns and frustration.

The tragedy is that it happened at the least convenient time. We're on vacation now and won't be back in the country for over a month. We have 30 days to submit the passport, which means I'm going to have to apply for an extension.

I see it says 28 days but at that point it will be too late to do anything if they reject our extension

I don't know if I'm just lucky but...when I emailed LVO a couple weeks back I got responsive in 4 days or so then I emailed them Sunday afternoon around midday and had response yesterday (Monday) at 9am!

They've been kind of inconsistent with this. In the FB group I admin someone has been waiting a couple months since Pre Arrival

Can anyone who is in Canada advise how long they waited to receive their copr document in the mail from LVO.

They told me two weeks..it's been almost three. I have had it in my mycic account but I know I have to wait for the mailed version.

It just comes via regular mail right? Not signed for mail or anything like that?

Just when it thought the painful waiting was over..oh look..more painful waiting!

I'm afraid that is how it comes. It would have been mailed out from LVO and making it's way by snail mail.

As I thought..but this seems long. Funnily enough my mum posted me a package on the same day LVO said approved/copr within 2 weeks and it's not here either. Normally small packages from her take 10 days max.

The waiting game never ends!
