Also, what is this spreadsheet? :)

Link is in my signature, myself and SchnookoLoly maintain it, it is used to track processing times and other useful statistics for applicants applying through London (and Ottawa/Mississauga as some London applications are processed in Canada for reasons described in the FAQ).

My MP just got back to me. He received a response from LVO regarding my medical expiring and if I have to do another. Standard response

This is in response to your enquiry regarding the above noted file.

Please be advised that we will send a request to our medical officer to reassess Mr. andrew-brit's medical. If the reassessment is granted, Mr. andrew-brit's medical validity date will be extended by one year. If the medical officer is unable to reassess his medical, we will issue new medical forms in due course.

To date there is nothing outstanding from Mr. andrew-brit. However, we may be in contact with him throughout the processing stages if the reviewing officer requires additional documentation/information from Mr. andrew-brit.

We hope this is of assistance.

I hope yours get extended by a year.

I am thinking of sending a case specific inquiry and/or contact my MP?

Wow what an amazingly helpful piece of work! Thanks so much.

So there would be a small chance that it would be processed in Mississauga and may take only 4 months?? That'd be so perfect. Fingers crossed for that (even though I sure it's so unlikely).

Do you know the reason for that possibility?

Nope not for those who applied "outland". You can come as a visitor, but you won't be granted permission to work in Canada.

I think it was sent inland. My fiancée is a Canadian resident and I sent my application to her father in Toronto (who is conveniently a lawyer) to look over. He sent it from there.

Would that make a difference?

you need to understand the difference between outland and inland and understand which one you applied under!

If you are 'Inland' It will make a difference to processing times and if you can apply for a work permit or not (although shouldn't your Father in law be able to help?)

If you do a bit of reading up on the excellent spousal sponsorship FAQ (the link is in Andrew-brits signature) you will find the answer to a lot of your questions. :)

Hey everyone. Our application just changed to DECISION MADE. We have not received any further correspondence yet..

My partner just moved to Canada on an IEC visa as well. Should we contact them telling them that this has happened and update our address? We are not sure how to proceed, especially now that it says decision made.

Also my girlfriend received an email asking for copies of her bio page on her passport and to send two passport sized photos. Is this a good sign?

Thnaks

Congratulations ;D You should definitely update your address, so they can send the COPR to the correct one. The passport pages req and photo is pretty standard and means you are pretty much there.

If you look at the 2015 sheet you will see that no applications have been kept in Mississauga since mid March 2015. Presumably this is in an indication that the backlog in Islamabad and London is leveling out and is under control. Mississauga is not an overseas visa office, it was only helping out due to huge backlog. Ottawa is slightly different in that it processes US applicants so there was some infrastructure already in place, that is why they process UK applications.

I wouldn't bet a pound on it going to Mississauga.

You should know if you sent an inland or outland application as there are some differences in the forms and more importantly inland requires you to be inside Canada. Check out the FAQ and all will be revealed!

Is it ok if her mailing address is the same in the UK but she now lives a different address in Canada? We should still receive any mail they send us.

Also, she just moved here on a IEC visa, do we need to inform them of this as well?

Whats the best way to go about informing them of a change of address?

Spreadsheet updated sunsunsunsunsunsun, that was fast!

When they requested the copies of the passport and photos they normally ask you to fill in an Updated Information Chart, one of the questions on that form is mailing address. Did they make that request?

If you still have access to the mailing address they have on file for you then I guess you could have it sent there, it will need to be signed for, and then family/friend can send it over here.

Do you know when your application went In Process? Finally where does the applicant reside now?

Congrats!

In the email they only asked for the bio page and 2 passport photos, there was nothing about a updated information sheet.

We still have access to the mailing address in the UK so no mail from them will be lost.

Our application went to in process on March 27, 2015.

The applicant is currently living with me in Victoria, BC on a IEC Visa. She is worried now that if she gets approved and then goes through immigration to activate her visa that they will deny her at the border because of the IEC visa not being reported or the address change...

Hiii,
Does anyone know how long a UK police certificate is valid for? Just been asked for a new one!
Thanks

Also, how can I be added to the spreadsheet?
