Hello everyone...

I received my COPR in the post this morning. This is pretty big news...and you are the first to find out! Ok, I did try to call my mother first with the news...but she didn't answer. I can't tell you how helpful the forum has been...and I will continue to recommend it to anyone who may find it useful.

My letter was issued on October 28th, but was only sent out on November 17th. It was a worrying couple of weeks...even checking with Canada Post if they had any record of an attempted delivery or returned item. The knowledge that others also had to wait a few weeks helped with the worry...and why not ask the question when you are at the post office...they can look up by name or address.

So, just have to cross the border and come back in....thank you for all of your help.

Congrats! I got my decision two days after you did. I'm waiting nervously also! Ha! I hope this is a sign that mine should be here shortly. Crazy that it takes them so long to actually mail it out! Thanks for the update.

That's awesome. Can I ask if you sent it from UK ? Or are you in canada and sent it to Ottawa ? They asked for mmy extra passport pictures, updated info and stuff last Monday and they got it Tuesday. ....so just wondering how long I may have to wait. Did it come back in the envelope you sent with it ?

Mrs. Schnook I just wanted to tell you what happened: I got an email today asking for the updated chart and 2 photos, even though they sent me an appointment for Etobicoke for Monday...we are going to go anyway on Monday and worst case scenario if they say it was an error then send off the requested info to Ottawa. Looks like they sent me both Inland and Outland ways of processing the COPR?!

They asked for mmy extra passport pictures, updated info and stuff last Monday and they got it Tuesday. ....so just wondering how long I may have to wait. Did it come back in the envelope you sent with it ?

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. I'm in Canada, will I receive my COPR faster if I submit these documents to the office in Ottawa or London? I notice on the spreadsheet it takes some people less than two weeks but is a lot slower for others.

Is it normal that I am not able to sign into the Client Application Status? I have signed in regularly - a couple times every week since I was approved as a sponsor in August. Today is the 1st time that I haven't been able to get in. I have re-entered and checked my sign-in info 4 or 5 times. Could it be a simple glitch in the system? Or is it an indication of an issue with my application?

A few members noticed this today. This has happened to me 3 times now. Generally the system works fine the next day. My guess is CIC are doing some maintenance which affects the sponsor checking their progress. If you have the UCI number for the applicant then you can check with their details. It only seems to be the sponsor who has trouble checking.

Decision made as of today!! Really hoping for the COPR sooner rather than later now...

Was really losing faith in CIC after drawing one of the shorter straws with timelines and receiving 2 'emails in error' from them since March. Not ideal.

Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting from late 2013 / early 2014.
