our sponsorship was august 8th and they requested additional documents from us on November 29 (Received in London Dec 3) and we haven't heard anything. I emailed them last week and all they said was that they had been received and were awaiting review.

So i can't really answer your question but just sharing my similar experience.

Starting to go slightly insane now.... ;D

I have been following the forum for a few months now. Not sure how to complete the timelines on the left however here's my timeline:

Application received in Mississauga - May 23 2012
Sponsorship approved - July 23 2012
Extra docs requested - Jan 3 2013
Extra docs sent - Jan 14 2013
Extra docs received by London VO - Jan 15 2013

Roughly how long more do i have to wait to hear back from them as i have been asked not to contact them once the extra docs have been sent.

Looking at it, you're right it's not that bad. It's just irritating that London don't seem to respond to anything if you get stuck. I'm hoping they will note that our little girl is only 18 months old and just sort it out there and then. I can't wait for us to move out there, I really can't! It's going to be a great year! 8)

if you're not sure about your daughter's status, I suggest you use this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/rules/index.asp and click at the bottom "take the test" - it's quite well done and based on that you should be able to know whether your daughter is already Canadian, and if yes, how to apply for her proof of citizenship and later on passport.

I just applied to get my visitor visa extended for the second time while we wait out the PR application, but it seems like it's taking forever to get approved. The last time it was approved almost immediately (2-3 days) and I'm beginning to freak out a little.

Does anyone have multiple extension experience?

Last year, they took over a month to reply to me and I was denied because I had not sent them a copy of my landing stamp in my passport. I had to apply to restore my visa and they took another 6 weeks to respond but, they gave me a one year extension. If you have a uci from your last extension, you can check its status on ecas.

I applied for an extension on my visa and it took 3 months to get it. I applied online in september for 12 months and got it in December.

Does anyone want to place bets on how long it will take till August applicants start changing to red? I'm anxious.

It might be ok since you sent it before. If not, you can restore it and you're allowed to stay in Canada until you hear word anyway. It's just that it costs a little more to get your visa restored. Around $200 I think.

according to CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp it takes 88 days for online extensions of visas, so it's pretty normal... no need to worry!

I really hope so nmford. I really feel for you. We sent extra docs at the end of November and its torturous waiting so long for them to be looked at, let alone seeing everyone else around you getting their COPR issued! You have been waiting way to long, really hope you get a great end to the week and hear DM!!
