I'm a bit frustrated. April was a disappointing month for London. This already-slow visa office seems to have slowed down further still. Only one user moved onto the Background Check in Progress stage in the entire month of April, and that was very early on.

Does anybody have any reason for the apparent slow down? LVO cannot possible keep up with the number of applicant at this rate so I know it's not normal.

LVO processes an extraordinary amount of countries:

Afghanistan, Bahrain, Channel Islands, Denmark, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Yemen

No wonder they are the slowest VO. I knew it was a hub for a lot countries but that is just overload.

I just don't get why they would put all those through there! Or why they would keep sending apps there that are relatively straight forward and could process in Mississauga.

I guess we will never know!

Who knows. Some internal case load management I imagine that we will never see into.Honestly once it's done it doesn't feel all that bad, it's the best feeling of your life.

quick question.....for the Police Clearance portion of the process, the requesting letter from LVO says original police certificate from the UAE (current residence). Are they saying they require a hard copy mailed/ couriered? Previous documents have been uploaded. Anyone know?

It's not a month by month basis, it's a case by case basis. Files are processed by different officers and the length of time varies for a number of reasons.

No substantial update (after my regular daily checking) but on MyCIC account front page beside my application it had changed under details from submitted to updated but nothing has changed when I click check status and messages. Grasping at straws here I know!!!!

Just daily checking?! Ive cut mine to hourly!

That has happened to me on mycic before (not for my PR app) and then later that day i had a message/update. Its like i had logged in just as they input it but the actual update hadnt filtered through yet.

Crossing fingers and toes for you! We need some movement on this thread!

I'm in a what's app group and somebody on that said someone in a FB group they are part of got pre arrival and they are October 3rd applicant at LVO (for Pakistan).

Something is happening somewhere for someone!

Yep, it is a long list of countries, but then I don't suppose they get too many cases from Falkland Islands, Greenland, Faroe Islands of Iceland
