Hi Laura! Processing in Mississauga is now taking around 40 days, so after that you will get a letter about sponsorship approval. I BELIEVE the other visa office will notify you when they get your application. You can always log onto the CIC website and you will be able to track it through there as well. :)

I'm sorry, we can't help you. I think you're in the wrong forum. This is for people who are sponsoring someone in the Family Class, who submitted their applications in May 2010.

Go to the main page and search the other forums for one that suits your situation.

Hey guys, anybody hear yet from CIC? i know but thought may be if anyone hear anything.
can anybody tell me when i am able to check E case ? coz i did try there but they r saying no record found yet

Thanks and Regards

40 Days that's not bad! I can't wait for this all to be over! ahhh!
Thanks for the reply

:o Im getting anxious.... we filed and they received our app on May 5th.... we are getting darn near close to the 40+ days so I am thinking we will hear something very soon. Pray for us that we do, please!

Good luck to everyone.

I am really looking forward to seeing the sponsor approvals start rolling in this month! Maybe another couple weeks and we will have our first one!

I hope you guys will still check in on me a year from now when you are all happily living with your spouse, and I am still waiting!

Did you return to the US to have your baby? (just wondering why she needs a Cert if you are living in Canada). We mailed our app on May 3rd also, and it arrived there on May 5th. Hoping to hear something soon! Good luck to you.

No I couldn't move here till after I was married and we didn't get married till after she was born :P I wouldn't have had any health insurance in Canada.

I honestly have to say I very much dislike Canadian food!! I'm a southern girl and there's really no comparison to the food in the southern states and in Canada. (I'd rather starve than eat an ENGLISH MUFFIN in the morning!! BISCUITS all the way!!!) When my hubby is here he gains a huge amount of weight in a short time because he has to fill up on good food before he goes back to blah land :P Also the city life with transit and more walking and stuff will hopefully help. Where I live, if you want to basically ever leave your house to go anywhere you are driving because there's nothing within walking distance!

Oh girl...Biscuits and Gravy is the thing I miss most about the US lol. I need to learn to make it because... *DROOL* I don't have the issue you do. I live in a VERY international city, in chinatown no less ;) There are about 20 different international restaurants within a 4 mile radius, everything from Chinese to Jamaican to Ethiopian. I LOVE where I am.

I don't understand how anyone can log into ecas until AFTER you receive your sponsorship approval. I can't do anything without the Client ID and I can't get that without the correspondence from CIC...am I missing something?? Did people get a receipt of Sponsorship app form? If so I am now worried mine was lost somehow!!

Hi Guys

First of all gud luck to all those have sent there applications in may.

I have also sent my application on 27 may.To be quite honest very scared and very hard to live apart from my love .my situation is totally different as i am applying through Sydney Australia office.

I got married in canada in feb and than came back to new zealand becoz of my job.

Can you please share personal exp for sydeny office .thanks

Vervain.. I'm going to be living in Toronto but that's the thing.. the Chinese food here is different than up there.. and I don't like it up there :p

As for logging into ECAS, some people can using the receipt number that you get when you pay the fees.

I am so excited! There is a guy who was processing through Accra, he's Nigierian, like my husband. His first stage approval was Nov 23, 2009, and last week he had his interview and has already received his visa! This is like super record fast for Accra, to have it completed in just 7 months.

However, I was married before and have kids, which may arouse more suspicion as to why my husband would marry me. (Africans are not exactly known for wanting to take on a divorced woman or someone else's children) Although, we do have 7 trips of me visiting him in the UK and one to Nigeria spanning a 2 year relationship. This other guy who got his visa in 7 months had a 10 month internet relationship, his fiancee came to Nigeria and they married on the first visit, and then she came back once more, 5 months later. I assume we will have more evidence than him to support our relationship, so it isn't out of the question for my husband to be here in early 2011!!!

When we went into this process we were thinking he would be here by Christmas 2011. Who knows, we could have a baby by then!

Yay for hope, Bob'swife! I think it is better to kind of think 'worst case' sometimes and to be prepared for that, but what a sweet surprise it would be to be approved so much sooner! I'll be praying for it too :)
