Im excited for you! YAY

@ sbwv09, yes, we're aware of the proof he needs to have...I even wrote a letter stating I would be responsible for him financially while he's here visiting etc.

uglygnome, is May 12 when your application was received? Or is that when they started processing it?

Have a question hopefully someone can answer. My wife sent the paperwork in, but I would like to check on the E-cas. What do I need to get from her so I can check it? Thanks!

you'll need the receipt number for your fees and the sponsor's birthdate, last name, and place of birth. However, if they haven't started working on your file, it won't show up. Has the date your file arrived in Missisauga before May 3rd? that is the current date they are working on applications.

Thanks for the quick reply. No, it was sent out on May 14th. So I still have a few days.

Hey All,

I am also a may 2010 Applicant. I have send my application on 29 May and recieved at CPC Missis. on 30 May..
So was going through the old discussion, i dont think i will recieve any mail till end of june... hahha.. I have not send my Option C along with the application , but I have recieved it now.. Should I send that now??? I have attached the Tax return photocopies with my file.. Please help...

^^^^^^^^^^
I think you should call the CIC call centre to see what you can do. From what I have heard, they do not like applications without Option-C! I have heard of people getting the entire application returned to them as being incomplete. The sponsor is not required to send in very much, so this is a vital piece of info.

My concern is that if you send it it will get lost, since they won't have opened your file yet. Perhaps CIC will give you advice on what to do, you may be able to fax it in once they start processing apps from May 30.

Thanks for the reply. I tried calling them but every time they are busy and my phone gets disconnected. I call this number 1-888-242‑2100 during 8AM to 4PM but I am not able to contact anyone. Do u have any other way to contact them.

It's 8-4 anytime in Canada, so if it's those times anywhere in Canada you can call. There's more info here: http://immipedia.ca/CIC_call_centre

went back and looked... they filed in Feb.

Hi Everyone,

My application was received May 10, 2010.

I called them on Monday just to make sure they have our file in hand, the agent confirment the file is being worked on and everything looked good and in our favour but the final decision was made yet.
She gave me the client ID and when I checked it on Tuesday June 8 it said a decision has been made and a letter sent to me June 7. Im waiting...it seems they are getting quicker in the processing of the past two weeks. I will let you all know when I get the letter.

Good Luck !

Good for you! Hope you receive your letter soon.

Should I start worrying? They received our application May 6th and I cannot log into ecas yet .. mmm

Did you call the CIC helpline?

What number did you call to talk to someone from outside Canada about an outland application? I am not finding any number like that on the site. Plus, I honestly don't see how an application that arrived a week after ours from the US is done already. Are you just pulling our legs?

EDIT: My wife found a number and called. When she talked to CIC they told her that they are still working on 5/3, so I am saying either you were given bad information or you're telling tales. Want to fess up or are you going to be another iarblue?
