Ok so I paid the PPR fees online yesterday and sent the recpt to Mississuaga OVERNIGHT mail at the cost of 35$!. I figure what's another messily 35$ at this point! Hopefully paying the fees now doesnt delay by too much.

may i ask how long did the PPR letter reach you from Sydney to Canada?
Coz, im expecting mine soon- from Manila to Edmonton,Canada. My papers were received at Manila visa office on February 15, 2011.
I know we are from different visa office. But you're the only person i saw here who's PPR letter was sent to Canada. Thank you.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is in positive spirits considering the waiting game we're all playing. Congrats to the PPR.

I have moved from IN PROCESS (MARCH 4th) to INITIAL ASSESSMENT completed (MARCH 10th).
Pretty good, i think, considering AOR was Feb 7th.

I received the letter yesterday (March 21st - arghh snail mail coming from Australia to Canada)
"Initial assessment of your application has been completed and your selection interview has been waived. You are not being asked to attend an interview at this time. However, until our office completes the processing of your application you may still be required to attend an interview for the purpose of ensuring that you are admissible to Canada"

They have requested RFPR (which has been paid) and a traffic history report (does not apply to me). I emailed them yesterday advising this.

Hello again,

I'm checking the e site and under the permanent application status it says Application received and has not changed to in process. It has been like this for a month now, should it have changed to in-process if so anyone experience why it hasn't?

Under Sponsorship approval it obviously says decision made and I was approved.

Yes same issue here mine haven't changed since 10th Jan 2011. Still "Application Received" not In process yet. I will call them if it doesn't change by the end of this month.

Thanks Whitehorse, our application was filed one week after you an our AOR was received 3 weeks after yours, so crossing fingers that we will get the passport request soon. It's been a flurry of activity and paperwork from me getting my marriage visa at worldbridge travelling to England and ... and .... and ... we are both looking forward to just focussing on building our life together here in Canada.

Well, it is great to see the people via New Delhi getting their landing so quickly. I am uncertain of my status. Anyone with a comment what this might mean?
Last week I checked eCAS it said:

We started processing your application on February 8, 2011.

Medical results have been received. We sent the passports as requested Feb 14th or so. No change for 6 weeks and then this week it says:


A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.


We await THE DECISION. Sounds like good news or sounds like an interview? Anyone been to this step in the process?

That's a good news.... Just wait for your PP with Visa... our application also took only almost 3 months via manila visa office... Congratulations.... you wait is finally over.....

Just logged on to my husband's e-cas status, and notice his address was

3214 Avenue H..... not 3215 Avenue H.

We just sent buffalo and email, I'm sure this was a data entry error on their end.

I'm hoping they haven't sent us any mail corresspondance, that would of probably been returned to sender. :'(

I'm worried this will cause unnecessary delays, especially since many people in the November thread are getting their PPR, and who knows if ours could be in the mail....to the wrong address :'(

Ok so my ecas was updated, it now shows my home address and that the application was recieved on singapore's end on march 17. Going to vietnam this 27th, will keep you guys updated. Hope all goes well for everyone

We only came across this site a few days ago, and yes the knowledge and help that's on here is great...but it's also exasperating because knowing that people have PPR, VISA's etc is making me check the CIC site so many times a day, sometimes just pressing reload for updates.

Before this site I had just accepted that it would be approx 8 months for news lol

hahahahahah, I rotate this site to compare dates and info with others, my inbox for a possible email, CIC site for updates and fb to keep in touch with friends back home while Im visiting hubby here in Canada, all whilst consuming grape and raspberry Jolly Ranchers lol I'll have no teeth left by the time my PPR arrives lol

Hi, I submitted my wife's application in December 2010. My visa office is Nairobi. I recently got a request for PPR (11-03-2011) and request for RPRF (11-03-2011) I paid the fees online on the same day. I have sent copies of the payment to CPC-M and Nairobi Visa office last week (by email, fax and snail mail). Got a reply from Nairobi office this week saying we have received your payment receipt and are forwarding it to the officer for further processing. I am a bit confused about how long it will normally take from now for us to get the passport back with the visa.
