I have not heard anything yet. I did go through the copies of our paperwork looking for what email address is in there and I only see a spot for my address...not hubby's....... :-[
 
Aw! Well, worst case he'll probably get it in the mail.

Did you check on form IMM 0008 (Application for Permanent Residence in Canada) on the right hand side, three quarters down the page? There's a spot that says "Your e-mail address, if applicable"
 
Woot...he got it in the mail today with barcode stickers!!!
Now I dont feel so left out!

Yay! Congrats, Kaz! I'm glad to hear you got yours!

I wonder, though, why we got e-mails and your husband got a letter with bar codes. Should we be watching for a letter with bar code stickers? Or do they just do some differently than others? That's very interesting!
 
I have no idea....I would assume you'll get a letter with barcodes. The letter was pretty standard. Just said that a file has been opened for him and will be assessed on a first come/first serve type bases. If he needs to correspond to use a barcode and to make sure he has at least one for the final step in the process which is the passport request. FWIW....ecas hasnt changed.

My sponsor's eCAS hasn't changed either, and mine hasn't been created yet. I'm hoping they'll pop up tomorrow.
 
Also got my AOR today, but I still can't log into E-Cas. :(

Hi Fleeting Dasein. :) I'm glad you stopped over here to visit us! Let us know if you are able to log in to eCAS. It'll give us a better idea of when we might be able to. (And congrats on your AOR!)

Thanks! I'll keep you guys updated. Next step is the initial assessment and interview right?
 
hehe Honestly, I don't know what the next step is. Some of the people who got PPR's today never received an Initial Assessment. None of them had interviews. We'll Probably see an In Process update on eCAS, but eCAS doesn't always update for people. :-\

And I'm not sure when, either.

If anyone has more insight than I do, I'd love to hear it. Knowing What's Next and When to expect it is very helpful! I guess plan for the initial assessment, and if you're lucky enough to skip it... congrats! :)
 
Our notification from the bucharest embassy was also by mail, with barcode stickers saying to not contact them for three months. When they will (or hopefully before that) tell us what our next step is. We have yet to receive anything by email, although it was included with our application. I guess each visa office does it whichever way they want. We still can't enter the applicant's e-CAS, although already it's been a month since we received that letter with the file number. In the sponsor's e-CAS, it does not yet say that the application is in process. Only that the application was received...and we had at one time "Medical results have been received." but of course it has since disappeared...

Hi FleetingDasein !

Looks like you sent your application around mid Dec, but the sponsor approval was a little late compared to others?? Do you know if you got the letter of sponsor approval on Jan 23, 2011 or is it the date on the letter..?

I am just curious since my letter was dated Jan 25, so I am a little too excited that I might be expecting something soon !!

I checked my ecas on the Saturday before my husband recieved the PPR email, on the following Monday, and there were no changes to it. It still said when the application had been recieved and that the medicals had been recieved. They did not post 'in progress' at all. I,ve just checked ecas again, first time since we got our PPR request last week, and it now says the date they started processing (6 weeks after they recieved it) and that a decision had been made and that they would contact my husband. It did say 'complete' as well...though we've just sent the passport off today so it's not really complete until we have the passport back...hopefully with a lovely visa stamped in it :)

I think you'll probably recieve something before your ecas is updated...hope you hear soon :)

Of the people going through the London office who already have your PPR, did any of you get an 'in progress' update at any point? Just I have not and am unsure if this is something that should concearn me!
