how did you got it? through ecas or email? sorry im just too excited for you....

Through mail. Thanks! coz if they request for RPRF additional 2 months waiting courtesy of CIC website. but who knows it might be faster now. Just Chill! :D

I called CIC again today and they said there is a new delay time of a month from the time they opened my application (which is January 24th), and said that I should call back on febuary 24 if I still have gotten no reply. What the heck is wrong, how come I am the only one that this is happening to.

Argh thats horrible, you must be going out of your mind. I wish I could offer some words of wisdom but I dont know why there would be such a delay.
Much easier said than done, but try and be patient.
Are you a PR yourself, or a canadian citizen?

@ pinklady, I was born in canada, thats what I don't get. Its not like this is a fake marriage, I have a baby son too. If this fails I am so moving to Vietnam for the rest of my life, just gonna buy a plane ticket and then not come back, hide there in Vietnam. Ill find a way to make a living there my wife doesn't mind staying in Vietnam either, she just wants us to be together. I wonder if it is possible to do that.

Dear All,

Need your help to understand the current status of my application. I logged into the CAS tool and can see following as update on my case under the heading "Permenant Residence application status" it says "Application Recieved". Now when I click the link(Application recieved) it shows me details saying:

"We received XXXX XXXXX XXXX's application for permanent residence on January 27, 2011.

Medical results have been received. "

Now, what i get from this is that it is showing me updates from my VISA office i.e. Islamabad, and they have recieved my application on 27th. Is this what you guys refer as "AOR"? Though, I have not recieved any acknowledgment letter at home from VISA office.

Second and most important question: Since I have sent medical along with application for my dependant kid. This confirmation for recieving medical result means that they have opened and start processing my file? What does this means? What are the next steps?

Pelase, explain.

Thanks,

Well of course its possible, but its probably not the answer! You should def try and do everything by the book.
Whether the marriage is legit or not has no bearing on you being eligible to sponsor.
You sent all the sponsor documents on the checklist right? And you havent received any benefits?
All I can say is try to be patient.
You must be so frustrated. If you are a citizen, then cant you leave canada anyway, i thought it was only PR that had to be present in canada. Keep checking e-cas, thats how I found out a decision had been made.
Good luck!

@ pinklady, yes I sent all documents by the checklist, and I have not been on any financial help from the government. I called CIC and they said that I was able to leave Canada during the sponsorship process and that someone could mail me the replys from CIC if any were available, just I have to be in Canada if my wife is able to come over. But during the process I am able to leave Canada because I am born in Canada.

You should leave then, go and visit your wife and baby son in vietnam.
Try and put this out of your mind, the waiting will drive you mad.
Buy a plane ticket and go!

i haven't heard a reply yet..
will be any day i bet

Everyone else has been approved within the delay time of when it was sent, not when it was open. Why are they saying another month now. That's ridiculous. ...

I see your application was filed on 21st Dec, 2010 but do you know when it actually arrived at CPC-M, maybe you should call like Vietcutie did, as they are processing application received on January 5th, 2011. Should just make sure everything moving smoothly.

Yes this is pretty much AOR, not every VO sends a hard paper copy to the house. But this comfirms it is at the VO. It doesn't necessary mean they have started processing. They have verified for sure that your medical results are there and it could be sitting in queue for processing. With my husbands, it arrived in Delhi on the 17th, they still haven't started processing it and they won't until they get his passport and another PCC as his other one is about to expire. THe next step is for them to start processing or request other documents. All you can do is wait and see what happends in the next little while. Best of Luck!!!

hey when did you do the first police clearence?
