For excample yours whitehorsejk it said it was received Jan 13 and you got update just now, but mine was received Jan 17 and I got my update on e-cas week ago.

I only had a chance to check my e-cas this week...it might have been updated earlier but I just didn't have a chance to check it out before now. I'm trying to just let the whole process flow...by not getting too worked up about updates etc. I figure constantly checking it while waiting for some good news would just stress me out. So I'm trying the laid back approach in the hope that we do get good news and that the process goes smoothly :)

I can't even imagine how you are feeling being apart from your family...I don't think I could manage being apart from my family for any amount of time never mind months!!! You are very strong to be going through this process. And all I can say is keep your head up and try to be positive that things will turn out well (I know easier said then done). From reading some of your posts it seems like everytime you talk to someone they don't really seem to know what is going on with your file...seems strange...but then sometimes the workings inside a government office are illogical. ;) I always try to think that they will get it right in the end.

Anyway, I hope you hear something positive before Feb 24th!!! And that you get to see your wife and child soon!

@ whitehorse, thank you for your kind words, and I am praying that I will be re united with my small family very soon, because I cannot take this feeling of being away from my new family this long. I left Vietnam not even one month after my wedding reception and wife was still 3 months pregnant at that time. So you can imagine how little time we had together as a legitamite family before I left Vietnam to do the sponsorship papers. I am so sad and I feel the world is coming down on me right now.

Thanks for adding us to the list, it's exciting to see some progress on our application. Today I was able to get on Ecas, and it said that our application was received Jan. 31 in Bucharest.

so i checked e-cas today, says application received but the medicals received part is gone? i read somewhere someone wrote about this but i can't remember if it was good or bad? hope its some type of a good update?

Gary, don't worry about that. It's neither good or bad!
My advice would be not to worry too much about the little changes on e-cas, unless you receive a letter in the mail from your VO. Your VO will inform you personally if something is missing and additional information needed. Otherwise just wait patiently for PPR
 
Hey guys,

I can now login to my e-cas, btu it doesn't show any information though, all it has is my name there, and a box to select the option to disable the e-cas update for me to view. So basically, no great update I guess.

However, I had a question, my husband is on H1B in US, and we sent his FBI Police clearance with the file. I have 2 questions-
1. How long is the FBI PCC valid ? We got it on Nov 15, 2010.
2. Is the State Police Clearance required? He has been in Michigan for last 5-6 years...I didn't attach the state PCC...but looking at other threads, I guess we should have. Should we get it done now for my husband and send it with reference to my client ID and the Kit # they provided in the letter of sponsorship approval ?

Finally AOR arrived in mail! The date they issued the document is January 26, 2011.
The document says that if I don't hear anything from them by 21/04/2011 I am requested to contact the office directly. I HOPE to receive further instructions by then! ;D

phew, good luck to all who is still waiting for AOR! ;)

I can finally login to my e-cas and actaully see the status of our file...It has my husband's name now with sponsorship approval stage "DECISION MADE" and when clicked on it, says

We received your application to sponsor XXXX'S on December 29, 2010.

We sent you a letter on January 25, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

For the PR application status it says "Not Available"
 
Hi;

Finally got the tracking number of lawyer

CIC got my file on Dec 29

I have not heard anything yet

and Immigration people can't find my file

You should check with your lawyer about the whereabouts of your file. My file was received on Dec 29 as well, and CIC is now processing files from first few weeks of January already. Your file should have been processed by now for the decision about sponsor approval. I have been approved as sponsor and my husband's file has been transfered to his VO. I would suggest call back CIC again, use your client ID number and ask them to check the status of your file.
