Of course. Just thought I'd lend a hand. It's getting kind of boring with nothing to do after sending in the application. I'm sure you guys feel the same way.

It's difficult for us because we have to work but can only do temp jobs as we don't know how long we can commit for! I think the hardest part is planning when your future is so uncertain.

Nope, and no ecas using the receipt number either I guess it'll be about a month before we hear anything?

If you are applying through Buffalo, don't forget 3 copies of Schedule 1 - because I did!

buddhadimple - it is very hard. I have been working at my food service job I've had since I was 17 because what else can I do? Get a new job? Nope. They wouldn't let me visit my husband as often as I do, and they're sympathetic to my cause. I don't know how much time I have left with my family and friends... I hate the uncertainty! They could tell us 2 months to 2 years, you know? You can't live like that.

silverbee - thanks for the information! I did include it. I've heard on previous threads/posts that it's fairly common to forget that, but they just photocopy it for you at Buffalo or CIC.

Hi you August folks,

My husband only included 1 copy in the bundle of signed forms he mailed to me (so I could ship everything off to Mississauga). His printer (at work because he doesn't have one at home) was pretty crappy so I'm a bit worried about the copy quality. :S

We'll see, Kess, a lot of my stuff is fine but not perfect (the printer just kept printing lines, we couldn't fix it no matter how many times we tried). Only when the ink was fresh would it look good. Some of the words would blur a little... ugh, I literally have stacks and stacks of old papers. Some just old and outdated, most just not printed well. I have to sort through it all still...
