Just to update:

My partner landed at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls November 2!! We walked across and the whole process on both sides took less than 40 minutes in total. All he had was his COPR papers and passport. Almost seemed too easy. We left Toronto at 9:30am and were back by 1:30 including a stop for him to get his SIN! I am so happy this is all over.

Congrats to all of you who have since received their PPRs and my fingers are crossed for the rest of you who are still waiting. An extra thanks to Can_Usa who has been updating everyone's status.

Not trying to be a pity party here but I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I could have been done by now if I filed outland. But I had other things to attend to here and couldn't rely to get another extension approved. At least I am still on the path of getting PR though. Almost 5 more months left to go.

@ Love_Young - are you sure about that pity party? Cause I'd probably join you! Definitely jealous. I mean, I knew that our timeline was likely to be a little longer but didn't expect the list to thin out so quickly. For all the moaning and groaning we read about on the forum the July (and August for that matter) people seem to be going through very quickly! Well over half the list already has PPRs! I mean, it's a great thing and I'm sure it bodes well for us all that times seem to be faster than the website leads us to believe but yeah, it's not a great feeling to be left behind on here.

Hope your inland process goes faster than you expect!!

today i checked my application and they moved one step up they start processing on Nov. 04/2010 i do not know what is next......good luck everyone

I'm sorry... I was envious of everyone who got their visas while I waited but the process does end. One advise I can give is that it is not worth checking Ecas at all. My Ecas has still not been updated. So just check your email and mailbox and stay busy.

YEY to the PPRS!!!

Screwy process!
I mailed my passport 11/5 - Express. They left notice 11/6 at the Consulate.
I emailed asking - do I have to resend it? do you request it? do you pick it up?
I check the status to see before calling USPS to redeliver on 11/9 am -it says - My passport was accepted at the Consulate 11/8 at noon.
At 11am on 11/9 Buffalo replied to me, saying they had not yet received my passport and they would not be asking USPS for redelivery or picking it up.

They say 25 hours after it's been accepted, that it hasn't and that they won't request it, but somehow it made it there.

Blech.

AND, I just got an email from them, moments ago - on Wednesday- I thought they were closed.!?!

Thanks, can_usa_97 -- we got it today, as expected!

Do you (or does anyone) know if it's okay that hubby submit his name/height/eye color on a separate sheet of paper? I'm assuming since your (can_usa_97) passport request was e-mailed, this is what they instructed you to do, but since hubby's was snail mailed to him, the back page of the passport submission instructions has an area where hubby is to write this info -- but I'd rather keep this part of the instructions in tact and just submit the info on a separate sheet of paper. Can anyone confirm that this is ok?

I'm not sure if you already sent it in or not, but I ended up actually emailing mine and that was OK with Buffalo even though I had obviously sent the passport by mail. I'd overlooked the height/eye colour thing.

Interview today went ok. They didn't reject or approve him, the VO was pretty non-committal. He was told that everything appeared fine and that they would contact him in a week or two. I feel like pitching a tantrum until someone gives me my husband...I have not seen him for 216 very long days

Received request for RPRF in mail today(well was in yesterdays mail but didn't pick up until today lol). Anyhow I'm being told this is the next step until his visa issued so we are VERY excited!!
