wow congrats those who got their visas..i could see july ppl are gettin their visas as well...
In my case its been more than 2 months since they have my pp..why New Delhi, India ppl asks for our passports if they are unsure of giving us visas.. ?? do u guys think there is somethin wrong with my case or should i contact MP or email them n ask them??

Hi everyone!

Its been while since my last post...luckly I've been busy enough to forget a little bit of all this stressing process

3 weeks ago I arrived to Canada as visitor and am staying with my husband for the rest of the process, everything its going just great...

Well, yesterday I got a called from my Mom (back home) saying that an IO was trying to contact me, they didnt give her any details and just said they were going to contact me at my number in Canada....they never called....

I then went to check my email and there it was....THE PPR!!! ;D.....now the only problem is that my medicals are to expire next friday Nov 6th, they asked me if I could travel to Canada by that day and if so I should send my passport right away.... If not I would have to re-do my medical...So yesterday I did the imposible (plus payed a lot) so that they could get my passport today (Tuesday)....

Still I have to update my mailing address to the Canadian one and hope they send the passport back in time....will they use express service???...or else why would day ask me to send it right away so that I could land on friday??
Im happy to know I will soon get my PR but Im still stress about all this situation.

What do you think?? any comments please?? ???

I'm guessing they called because they realized that you were expiring and I'd hope they'd be wanting to get you landing.

Are you close enough to the US border that you can quickly land once you get your passport back? Congratulations.

Thanks My FBI Cert not being sent certainly delayed me, but not much it would seem.
Now just to wait patiently for the decision/request.

I agree... hindsight sure is 20/20... had I realized that the short period to get the fbi certificate held us up about 2 months I would have waited for it... bummer

Many congrats to those who received PPRs/Decision Made updates!!

We couriered our Statutory Declaration of Common Law Union back to Buffalo yesterday.Hopefully we'll be joining you all in the next little while - I'd love for my partner to be landed by the holiday season. Even though he has a 1 year visitor's visa, it sure would be nice to just stop thinking about all of this immigration stuff for good!!!

Dear applicant,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada at our office. Please note that your medical examinations have been extended until 06 December 2010. This means that you have until that date to do your landing.

Please be advised that your visa has been issued and that your passport will be sent back to you as soon as you send to us a pre-paid air way bill. Please do not forget to quote your file number when sending the pre-paid air way bill. Please note that you have 5 days form today in order to comply with our request.

I do live close to the border but its great to know that I dont have to rush to land.

I wonder, has anyone send a pre-paid air way bill when sending your passport?? Is it common that they ask for this??
and can anyone tell me if I get this right...They want me to send an pre-paid air way bill within the next 5 days, right??

That is fantastic news. It is also nice to know that they are flexible enough to do something like extend the deadline to allow you time to land. Makes me think there may be humans working for CIC after all.
