Congrats! That is exciting news...I think it means now that it's in process you can apply for an open work permit. That's a lot faster to get "in process" than was listed on the website, that's great

Well I still have 6 more months to wait for AIP. The in process part of inland application just means it is finally opened and they are now starting to work on it. Most people were taking 2 months and 2 weeks but ours took 2 months and 6 days for them to start working on. I am still happy that it took less time. And no worries, I already submitted an open work permit with the actual application submission. I am currently on implied status because of it. Our next hurdle will be first stage approval and then actually landing as a PR. Well until then I will take what I can get and celebrate even this little step. At least it is a step closer to being together forever.

I was trying to call the automated system to see if there were any updates to my case, but it keeps bumping me to talking to a real person. I just want automated, lol. 10 min wait they say. I hope everything is OK.
I entered dh's client Id and his bday, and it bumped me, tried his client id, my bday and bumped me then too.
Hope it's nothing.

AOR received September 28... no info about whether they've received the medical tho and no request for specific documents. So basically we received a letter and now we wait more. Not very exciting really is it?

At least now we can send in all the police checks etc

We used the client ID from the sponsors approval letter to logon to ecas. As we are through London, i believe we don't get an AOR for the applicant.

It just so happened that after about a month or just under, we can login with the sponsor's details and it had my details up as 'in process' next to my wife's 'approved' status.

We still can't (and believe won't be able to either) login as the applicant.

We are planning on going next Tuesday and doing the turn around in Buffalo (would do it tomorrow but they say only Tuesday and Thursday, boooo!)....I cannot believe how fast that was! I am shaking, haha.

I finally just waited on the phone to see if I could learn anything thru the call center. He was very nice but flat out said probably haven't looked at my file. Which is possible. I wish there was a better predictor of what they do.

They sent the e-mail to our lawyer and my husband. We had never contacted them via e-mail for anything prior.

Here is a copy of the e-mail:
