Thats strange, I never heard of them asking to go pick up a letter but I really think it could only be good news...it might definitely be the AOR.

Hello everyone, this is my first post but i have been reading your stories for a few months now. I would like to share my timeline and my stories as well, can you add me to the list please can_usa_97.

App sent July 19 and received July 26. Immigration office is Seoul.

My wife just found out she is pregnant and she has to go back to Korea in September because her student visa is expiring. We are now very worried that our application will most likely not be completed in time for her to come back to Canada to have the baby. Which of course would mean i would have to then sponsor the baby. :-[

Hi stevedominic, ecas (from what I understand) will update to "in progress" when the responsible visa office has created a file for you. This is often when you will also reveive your AOR.

Welcome deny112 - I thought I'd read somewhere about being able (and maybe it is only if inland processing) to extend visa and implied status if you have PR in process.... it must be for inland though....

@ MINNA re: changing the address. I haven't yet. I need to call but I figured it's impossible that I live at CPC, lol, or my husband. So hopefully they get the error until then.

@KALEW re: partner visiting - we are together in the USA at the moment xx fingers for some clarity on what choice is best for the future.

@Silverbee - I can login with the client id for my husbands sponsorship, not sure whats up for you. Sorry.

You're right... I logged in today - and it says "We started processing the application on August 19, 2010."

So I guess she'll get that confirmation letter when she goes in tomorrow ;D

Finally, I can now log in on e-cas. A decision has been made. I still have to wait for the letter in the mail :-X

I got an email from e-cas tracker telling me that they're able to see the details of my application. So I checked online using my receipt number and it worked

Looks like this week might be going real slow at cic , no one past 19th have received confirmation , this wait is getting frustrating now .
