The letter I got today indicates it's the acknowledgment of receipt.

Do you get the Buffalo letter when they start processing or before that?

is it from Mississauga or Buffalo? If its from Mississauga is just the confirmation that the sponsorship has been approved and that they'll transfer the file to Buffalo. You'll get a different letter when Buffalo starts processing.

It is from Mississauga.
But they are both called AORs?

i have sent mine on july 20th and they received it on july 21st but have not heard anything yet.
im kinda worried now.

Don't be worried Furkan! CIC still says they're only processing up to July 2/42 days. You are still early. From the looks of it, you should hear something within a week or two. As long as it is within 42 days from CIC recieving it, you are within processing time.

People who are a week ahead of you are just starting to hear back. No need to panic yet! At least give it a few more weeks.

Finally received the actual letter from Mississauga, dated August 9. Sponsorship approved and file transferred to Sao Paulo...feeling a little better now!

They rcv'd mine on July 13th and I just heard on the 12th. I wouldn't be worried yet.

Your 8 days behind me. That means, IF-IF-IF they were processing at the same exact speed, ect. They'd not be getting to yours till the 20th to look thru it and then Ecas updates after a few days, and then however long mail takes.

At earliest you shouldn't expect to be expecting anything till mid next week (IMO)

This is one thing about having a lawyer I hate....all communication is getting delivered to them I believe so even if they have received the letter it might not be opened or read yet....argh!

Nothing on Ecas either, tried both our receipt numbers (paid the sponsor and the applicant fees at different times) and both our names and nothing....

Will give ecas to the end of the week (and my lawyer) to see if anything is processed and then I get on the phone...lol

CIC in missisauga received it on 23 July. I still did not receive the sponsorship approval letter from CIC. When can I expect it approximately?

Well it seems that most of the sponsorship applications are being processed in approximately 30 days (including weekends) and then 10 additional days they allow for mailing time.

Hi all...wow there´s a lot of messages on this thread today, nice nice!!

Well, would like to confirm that I already got my AOR from Mexico City (my visa office), both by email (on Aug 10th) and on the mail (Aug 16th) I now have my Bxxxx file number and can check my status as the applicant on Ecas.... and it shows "IN PROCESS"
"We started processing XXXXXXXXX application on August 10, 2010"

This has actually been discussed before , it is 42 days period and not 42 business days , if it were 42 business that would make it almost 70 days in total to get AOR and that sure is not the case as most people are getting a reply back in and around the 30 day mark.

Still nothing on ecas .....so sad, we sent it July 9th and it should have arrived on the 12th/13th at the latest
