Hi CanadiansWife,

I received my PPR on Feb 29 and I still haven't seen my Ecas status changed from Application Received to In Process. Sirinivas.vadapillai is in the same boat as me.

We're hoping to see some change this weekend or coming week!! Crossing our fingers!

singh saab, india ch PCC taan 10000 rs de ke bann jaandi aa !
baaki rahi travel di gall, suppose u go to thailand for a vacation and are arrested there for some misdemeanor.
u get out paying a fine or do a month in jail and come back to india.

how does ur pcc in india tell cic that u didnt do something wrong outside india ?
thats why travel history is important.

lets not go there. im a punjabi and i know some cases like this.
cic needs to be thorough.

yes u r right..In punjab people make the PCC for just only in few rupees,but my mean was to say that if the applicant has had no crinminality n any ountry,,i think CIC has no difficulties to issue the visa.Original PCC show the proof of documents that provded with ur application.

yes, technically yes. but u never know their policies. and supposing someone lived in another country illegally etc they will scrutinize more.
which in turn will take a longer time for processing. most ppl on this forum got their visas eventually. its the time that differs.
i have seen people here who got their visas after 3 yrs.

CHC new delhi request my passport on 24 Jan,2012.I sent my passport to chc on dated Feb 1,2012.Stil i did not get any answer from CHC.Its near about two month going.What should i do .??

I wanna ask to some guys who has have experince regarding this,it is better to ask through MP,or just stay calm and wait more??? ???

please note that i got reply from ND when i emailed them in regards to my enquiry.

firstly, when my file transffered to ND, App status was changed to "Application Received" after that it was changed to "In Process" and it was remained the same for almost 3 months but 4 weeks ago the status got changed back to "Application Received".

I have emailed ND to advice that why the status got changed, so the replied below:


Your application is currently awaiting review by a visa officer. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly.


Please advice

Thanks Bali. First of all congrats to you. Hope your wife had an awesome flight to Calgary and her immigration was smooth.
Excited that my wife is finally coming to Canada to live with me. Also, congratulations to Siva on his wife's travel to Calgary. Happy for you man.
Was at training in Edmonton for the past 2 weeks and couldn't even check my emails until today. Congratulations to all those who got any kind of positive news.

its 47 days going,to sent my passport to new delhi,,but nothing to come.stil"Application received".

can anyone suggest me ,i have to ask about my case through MP,,or wait for more days?pls suggest me.

why should we "reply soon"?!

How is it two months for you?
as per your post you sent PP on Feb 1st. it is only 48 days now????


Be patient man..!!!
there are people who are waiting for more than a year..
recently some people got visa as less as 4 months (including me)
hear from me..

Eventhough the CHC-ND's are not the best but they work.
You should be patient till the end of 6 months to contact your MP or any such..

Other than that you will just be banging your head in the nearest available wall ("dry wall" if you are in Canada)
thinking about "what,when, how etc etc.."

you have to wait and let the process do its job..
yes, sometimes CHC-ND has screwed things up
but we cannot do anything to undo the screw ups

the only thing what you can do is to send them as much as correct information that is supportive to your case,
other than that if your spouse has travel history, any other deviations (like overstay etc) it will be a long journey one

Criminality doesnt even come in the picture now..

Anwer to your question: PPR request eventhough a significant progress in the process doesnt mean anything.
depending on the season it will take somewhere 30 to 45 days to "Inprocess" and some times 60 days.
So you should be hearing from them

I had the same issue and upon inquiring some people told me it is a system glitch. Sometimes when your file is not reviewed in the standard time, the status automatically changes to application received. it means nothing... so don't worry... did you order CAIPS notes to see what work has been done your application so far?
