ive known my wife since junior school !
have been dating since 8 yrs.
went to the same school & medical college.
although we belong to different religions, love marriage but we got married according to both religions.
no problems at all.
i have proof etc which i submitted.

anyway, the validity of the medical expires in 20 days.
do u think i shud get my wife to get a medical done and send the report anyway to New Delhi ?
rather than waiting for them to ask for it again ?

Wow, your medical expires in 20 days?? Why would you get your medical done so early? I suggest you wait for the passport request letter and send your medicals along with that.

wow..nice love story !!! you must have got a plenty of proofs since childhood !!!

its so effed up man. i thought it'd take a month more maximum.
my wifes gonna go crazy !

so do u know if they still call u on ur phone n take a mini interview ? then call for passport ?
or is it just by email / mail ?

@shamsia - I submitted the medical along with the application/ as suggested by the same friend whose application was approved in 4 months.
she hadnt sent the medical along with the application n that took more time.

anyway so my wife should be looking at email/post rather than waiting for phone calls ?

Medical is valid for 1 year. If your medical is expiring in 20 days that means you did your medical in Jan '11. But you have submitted your file on Sep 23rd '11 after a very long time ???

my wife got the medical on july 20, 2011 ! submitted application in sept 2011, when i got back to canada from my honeymoon.
i thought it was valid for 6 months.
thats what it says in the application package.

I was reading the other forum and was looking at the spreadsheet. Most of applicants were getting their visa within 2 months of PPR in around 80% of cases, unless they have a travel history and are stuck in BC.

i have travel history but less then 28 days

Unfortunately no good news yet for us either (still stuck at App Received and Medicals Received, no In Process) but sometime during the Christmas holidays our address also disappeared and hasn't come back yet. Seems quite strange it's happened for so many people, but not everyone. Hopefully it means good news, but we're not holding our breath.

And for everyone all stressed out and stuck waiting, take a vacation and don't check every day - it was so nice not worrying about it for 10 days!

Happy New Year to all - let's hope they sort out this backlog ASAP!

How long does it take for (Application and medical results received) to (In process) in ECAS?
Mine showing application received in ECAS.
So, when should i expect to change it In Process?
