We are October applicants actually.

We received passport request this morning along with re-medical and police report. The long journey is almost over.
I don't know if it was a coincidence, but the request came barely 8 mins after I sent AVO an email.
Sometimes we may have to give AVO a nudge for them to act.
It will end in praise for everyone still expecting to hear from AVO.
The wait is not easy!!
congratulations! so happy fo ryou. Now quick quick, do all of it and send it in.

Am suspecting that's the case however on the online application tool it says decision made on my husband's file, is it possible to do background check while their decision has been made,it's quite confusing am just gonna relax n wait for them to emai

chai! Good point, this is confusing! If decision is made, then does "not applicable" mean really "not applicable to your scenario?"

house members does anyone else have "not applicable" in the background check field? If so, has police clearance been re-submitted or requested and not re-submitted? what to do your other statuses say? I'm just trying to understand the workflow.

They have responded my emails when I submitted the medical. It wasn't an automated message.

@queenanetor, if you click "view submitted application" under that status table, you will see what docs they are requesting you upload. in my case it was the same as I had sent to Accra so I just uploaded them there too (just in case).

Hey guys,

Quick question. Has AVO every asked you to submit documents and you were late? I am to submit some additional documents to the office by Saturday but one of the documents they requested has not arrived yet and even if it does arrive today or tomorrow, by the time we ship it, it will still be late.

Unfortunately, I just was able to link the application on CIC today and the reforestation the requested documents are not there yet for me to upload.

What do I do? Please advise....hope I am making sense.

Sorry for the typo. I was trying to say that there is no where on the website for me to attach the documents because I linked my account after they requested the documents.

send them an email explaining the reason for the delay. if you haven'd done so already. if you deadline fell on Saturday, I believe it's really due the next business day. Also, ask if you can scan and send them the docs so they have it before you courier it.

I told my husband to upload the stuff but he just went ahead of sent everything to AVO via DHL..am just hoping DHL didn't mess up

You can upload the ones you have and ask for an extension for the one you don't have in ur possession yet, I've seen many instances where other VO offices gives an extension .

Trudeau is too busy saving refugees of other nations instead of looking at members of his own in Canada. we mind as well file for refugee status for our foreign national spouses seems refugee and express entry are the only way to Canada now.
This is illinformed and discriminatory and totally uncalled for. Not to mention wildly untrue. You have no idea what refugees go through. The Syrian family who was supposed to move to my community has been in a refugee camp for five years and have had their application processing for three years and because the quota has been met for the year (which is a fraction of the family class quota) they have been told they have to wait at least another 18 months. You've been waiting less than a year, you're sponsoring your spouse who can't even be turned down if they were deathly ill unlike every other immigration class. Educate yourself, just because you're frustrated with the process don't use refugees as a scapegoat because that only perpetuates discrimination as there are people out there who think that even spousal immigrants shouldn't be allowed in Canada. Here are some videos that can help clear up some immigration questions. Stop perpetuating hate against refugees.
