Right for Permanent resident fee can be paid later but it is always advisable to pay it and include with your application.this way i can save alot of time if you have to wait on immigration to ask for it.the waiting can take weeks and months so it better you pay now if you have it,Other than that,You can pay later

Hello friends,am very new to this website but i will appreciate if some one can help me out.First of all my application time line shows

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on June 1, 2016.
We started processing your application on August 11, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

My first question is,
1.does it mean i passed my medicals
2.Why has the status application jumped from Interview to "DECISION MADE" ----Medical results recieved.(Does it mean,i have been waived from Interview?
3.How long does it take to process application after medicals is received.

Will appreciate if anyone here can help me understand all this because according to a friend of mine,he said,Once medicals is updated,It means visa is approval and just a matter of time to receive request.

Hi Mandie. Sent you PM couple of days ago. Don't understand.... Cas doesn't show medical result receive even though it was done upfront. It's just: we received Your application for permanent residence on... And we started processing on....

I wouldn't be too worried about the timeline showing medical result received as long as you are sure you did the medical exam(healthy) and submitted the receipt as you said.

Question: what application is this? Is it SPONSORSHIP?
Which application is showing 'Decision Made'? The Sponsor or the Principal Applicant. Medical Received line means the result is good to go, but it doesn't mean the visa is approved. For economic route such as FSW/PNP, medical received line is strong signal that you are 80% at the end of the road. Remember for FSW they request medical, you can't do it upfront. That is why when others from other routes post on this thread it distorts what the sponsorship process actually looks like.
Even though we are all applying for PR, the processes are slightly different depending on the route. So if it's sponsorship application, you have a long way to go (as average processing time is 9 months), but if it is FSW, then you are almost there.

Be patient, it takes some time to update. Or they could be ask you for further medical check. Do toy have any medical issue?

Is it the same at the application fees? We paid some certain amount when we were about to submit the application. Do we still need to pay the RPRF? So confused right now

ok mandi,Yes my application is spouse sponsorship and applying through accra visa office. So tell me something,do you think if you submit every documents and strong evidence of the relationship, you will be called for Interview.
This my evidence i submitted

1.Our wedding,first meeting,traditional marriage,honey moon pictures
2.the whole family of my wife came from Canada and Uganda to Ghana for the wedding(i added their ticket copies)
3.my parents and siblings with friends all came to the wedding
4.I added the birth certificate of our daughter
5.i screen shot our what app calls,Facebook conversations and emails with love cards
6.we submitted some few letter we got from friends

do you think this documents can support our application to waive off the interview or we might be asked for more documents to prove the relationship?

Mandi, under my application,it shows in process but from what i understand, the diagram explains the details of what the status means .so my question is why did it not stay anything about interview if immigration says, the application goes through the steps in the diagram.i was thinking it was going to say anything about interview before it moves to the next step of "DECISION MADE"---Medical result recieved.Does it mean i might not be called for interview?

Interviews are usually waived if the VO is satisfied about the application. If they have doubts, they will ask you for additional documents like your educational certificates or proof of communications first, if they are still not satisfied then they call you for an interview before making a decision. What makes them decide to request for more documents is anybody's guess. People nowadays are rarely having interviews. The list you provided appears to be lot, so just relax and let AVO contact you for next steps.
All the best.

I don't think you would prefer to have an Interview, Your status would go to Decision made sometimes after Visa Approval or Rejection. My advice would be to continue to monitor this thread and keep following the progress of those getting updates that will help you calculate when to expect your PPR as you just applied in June. This process requires a tremendous amount of patience just as Mandie said

Usually after SA, the medical received line appears (3rd line). This is where the long wait begins - they contact you for more docs/interview. So no one is off the hook at this point. The best thing you can do for yourself is to wait for AVO to contact you. AVO and ecas are not great friends so I wouldn't worry myself about what ecas is saying. People have received their visa and have landed in Canada and ecas still said in process. I know the wait is frustrating but one thing I have learnt is to have lots of patience.

What you need is patience. You only applied about 3 months ago. GCMS note will not give you any info as it's too early. Take a look at other people's timeline and you see some are waiting for almost a year now. Medical received line does not mean much except you passed the medical. The real deal is when the VO reviews your file and is satisfied with the file. Here is the link for Gcms notes. Please be PATIENT.
