it may not be same in your case...

Any ideas, let's brain storm..

Can we put up a publication on any of the National Newspapers in Ottawa..
it's be gonna be unanimous...
but we'll make sure we draw the attention of Ottawa/the public to "That Accra" office..
saying their keeping families apart....
if they have so much work load, as they claim..
with the fees we pay, can't they increase the work force?
or spread the work Load to other AVOs in the region (NIGERIA, etc)
....
suggestions

Justin Trudeau has a soft spot, unlike Steven Harper

am having to dig into my inner most strength with each video of him i receive smiling...not having held my son...the effect on marriages is really under estimated...

Honestly I have to agree with you
The pressure this has on marriages is bad ..
Can't even begin to tell you the pressure my hubby and I are going through.

We want to start our life together asap but cic is not making that possible at all .

At this point I wish I wasn't a Canadian

when i see questions like this..i am just automatically depressed..when i realize i am still only February 2017...with a baby who i missed the entire pregnancy and now missing him growing up..today he's 2 months old....CIC really needs to intervene and look into AVO :(:(

Stay strong. We're in the same predicament. Our baby turned 1 on July 1st and only knows his dad by pic and FaceTime or Skype. We applied in September and have been contemplating going back home because keeping the family apart is too much for us. We're just waiting for ticket prices to drop a bit...

Please I need a response from anyone.
Also how was the error? How many letters were spelt wrong? Or different name(middle, first and last). I had mine wrong as well, but the difference was the last letter in my middle name was missing. I just ignored it and within a 2 months got PPR

Yes we submitted August 23rd 2016 and our file was transferred on September 27th. What date did you apply? Have you heard anything?

So sorry to hear that you are going through this.

Although it probably won't help those of us who have already applied, the is a working group that have made improvement suggestions on how the whole immigration process can be made more efficient and user centred. I had contacted my MP about our application which was returned due to missing documents - which were missing because the checklist is so unclear. I stated how unfair it is that we are penalized for a broken process. She agreed and directed me to look at the report.

There were a lot of promising improvements. Hoping some get accepted and implemented.

I think you should go get the name corrected in the bank first and maybe email Accra office and inform them if the error. I don't know if our will help that you email them but then if they ask about the situation in future, you can present the correctly named statement and a copy of the email you sent them with an explanation. Maybe also with a letter from the bank management confirming it was an error that has been corrected.
Thanks for your response. I will do that. @Ugoswife

Just one letter is wrong in his first name, it has "s" instead of "t". I'm just wondering if it'll affect anything as our application is getting to the end hopefully.
