Hi lamour,
I see you are also applying from Quebec, how long did it take to get your CSQ. I went by to physically drop my application at the processing office since i work close by. I did this on Friday, i wonder how long it will take to get a response. Will a copy of the CSQ be sent directly to Ghana or would i have to send it to my hubby or to Ghana myself?

Thank you for the response Opester, although i sincerely hope it wont take that long cos i've been away from my husband for over a year and i'm not sure i can handle another 4 to 6 months.
As of Monday the 23rd, we were told his Medical Results have been received.. so I'm hoping they reach him soon!

I understand the feeling. It is hard being away from your significant other. Updates on E-cas are few and far between. The next major addition will be the time they start processing your file to when your status changes to decision made. Just don't think too much about your application and you will have a good news from Accra soon.

Welcome to the thread.

Yes, I am a Quebec applicant and also got messed up somehow with CIC as to CSQ application.

CIC received our application January 7th 2015. I received AOR February 27th, which stated that I should apply for Quebec undertaking/CSQ. I sent in the application by mail February 28 and MICC Deducted my credit card for the application March 13th.

Behold, that same day, 13th March, I received an email from CIC stating there was an error in their system that affected a couple of applicants. That I should not apply for CSQ, that if I had already done so, they have informed MICC of the computer error.

Then come March 18, I received another AOR( I guess this was supposed to be the real one)
March 23, I received SA stating that our application has been transferred to Accra.
That same day, got a letter in the mail from MICC that my CSQ application is pending until I send them the SA letter. I sent it to them that same day by mail and tracking shows they received it.

This is my journey so far. I am waiting for the CSQ and I know it will be sent by mail. Usually they send a copy to CIC but most times according to what I have read on this forum, Accra might request the applicant to send them a copy as well.

I live in Canada and my hubby is in Nigeria. WE submitted our application in September and after several miz ups, we finally received our SA and his application got sent to Ghana. I have applied for his CSQ as i live in Quebec and his status on cic website says
:
1.We received xxxxx's application for permanent residence on September 3, 2014.

2.Medical results have been received

How long would it take to hear back from them?

Also. how do i put in my timelines like you did under your names?

Welcome to the forum..well your case will tell us a lot about how the VO prioritizes the work.

Meaning if they still consider you a September applicant and put your file in the September batch ? or will they look at your file when they start processing applications that were forwarded in March?

If it's the former, then you will hear within a few weeks because they're working on late August applicants now based on people's experiences on this forum.

If it's the latter, then you have to wait a bit..maybe like 4-6 months as Lamour said.

CSQ is 2-3 weeks to receive it. Mine was delayed due to the technical problems CIC had.
I hope to receive it latest next week, now that I sent them the SA.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

My case is quite special! I applied Sept 3rd 2014, by Oct 2014, i got an email saying i was missing 2 vital documents; my main sponsorship app and my husband's PR app. Ï called them and they told me it wasn't missing but rather, the forms i used where the old ones.. ok so i quickly filled a new one and sent it out that day and my tracking info said they received it the next day Oct 8th.
November 26th i got another email saying i was missing everything in my package aside from my husband's form.. so i had to send them a whole new set of letters, pictures, passport photographs, photocopies of applications, and copy of my proof of payment Copy 1. i send this Dec 2nd with a letter inside stating my displeasure of how my file has been treated. I got my first good news Feb 26th saying they had received my app and only to get a package in the mail a week later saying my application was returned cos it was incomplete and to make matters worse for them, they also included someone else’s application for work permit. The letter in the package was dated Feb 25th a day after I got the little piece of good news so I called them because I was confused and immediately they heard I had someone else’s application included in mine they quickly checked my file, said that I should disregard the package because the application # showing on it doesn’t reflect on their system and that they can only see one application being processed for me which was the one I got a response to on the 25th of Feb. So the agent escalated my application to the next level saying I had passed the processing period and I got a call back the next day asking me nicely to return the other person’s app and that I’ll be hearing back from them soon regarding my app. True to their words, I got my SA email the next day, 19th March and that my hubby’s app has been forwarded to Accra, Ghana.
So I applied for my CSQ the next day, I walked it over to their office to avoid long stories and now we are both waiting..

I think he meant Jan 9th, so you're looking at around May or June DoveHeart.

Things seem to have picked up this month so maybe earlier.

lol... i know! Every email i got from Oct 7th to the last package was met with cries... cause i couldn't understand what i was doing wrong!
But i thank God for everything!
So we wait!
