So everyone, this is the end of this canadian visa journey for me and my hubby.

He got an email today from Accra to organize pick-up of his passport, which he did promptly with DHL.

I am so grateful this ordeal is over. I just can't stop thanking God.

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words and for all the useful comments.

Congrats Opester! :)
How's everyone else? I hope well :)

Thanks dear. How is your appeal preparation going?

My prayer is that you will be successful at the end of it all. This is just a phase and will end on a very good note.

Keep in touch dear.

It's going ok. Very stressful, it's just all the money is so much with lawyer fees and having to travel back to nigeria.. It not a fun process to go through. All will be well at the end.

Hi,
I live in Canada and my hubby is in Nigeria. WE submitted our application in September and after several miz ups, we finally received our SA and his application got sent to Ghana. I have applied for his CSQ as i live in Quebec and his status on cic website says
:
1.We received xxxxx's application for permanent residence on September 3, 2014.

2.Medical results have been received

How long would it take to hear back from them?

Also. how do i put in my timelines like you did under your names?

You probably have to put in more posts i believe. I don't know the actual amount of posts. But it might have changed.

Thanks. An interview was not requested and from what I have noticed from other members, it rarely seems to happen. I am sorta still new to this group but from the cases so far, I am yet to see any call for an interview.

You have to have at least 10 posts to include your info with your username.

Hey Gamer, have you heard anything about when your wife's passport is ready for pick-up? It should be very soon I hope.

Hello MsLisaN. I can say that the Accra office has been working quite well and it should take about 4 to 6 months to hear back from them. I think it is best that you contact another member lamour as he is also applied for CSQ. He will be in a better position to explain his process to you.

Hope that helps.

Looks like people do more research on how to properly apply and include convincing documents as well as pictures from the beginning of the relationship.

Nope, not yet. I'm hoping for this week or early next week.

Thank you for the response Opester, although i sincerely hope it wont take that long cos i've been away from my husband for over a year and i'm not sure i can handle another 4 to 6 months.
As of Monday the 23rd, we were told his Medical Results have been received.. so I'm hoping they reach him soon!
