Hello everyone. So my husband got email from cic today with a decision. Not a answer we wanted. It was denied due to the fact they don't believe our marriage is genuine. This day has been awful for the both of us. My question is they sent us attachments I'm guessing the appeal application and the process of appeal, but it's in French. My husband emailed to ask for the attachments in English. Any advice on what to do next? Is it hard to get appeal approved? Thanks

NKT, I am deeply sorry that you and your husband have to go through such a hassle. Really awful situation but please all hope is not lost. This is a battle that you guys must win. I will strongly suggest you seek the help of a lawyer. Not just any immigration lawyer because some of them will not work for the money paid.

A reputable lawyer with experience will be able to tell you if you should go with appeal or apply again.
My dear, take it easy and continue to be strong. It's not easy of course but trust me, most immigrants have stories to tell about immigration. You will tell your story soon, when this chapter is behind you.

I'm so sorry to hear that NKT...this is just ridiculous how they play with people lives. Awful

Definitely get a lawyer as Lamour said and appeal, do that ASAP. I wouldn't re-apply because nothing changed and they know you were denied. But also involve your MP immediately and explain the situation.

Explain that you've been treated unfairly and have them help you.

Don't give up! Get yourself together and I'm sure you can win this .

That's what I mean, contact the MP and tell him..and also appeal.

I feel for you NKT0817 and your husband. I have seen cic deny application and the subsequent appeal. So no need to worry. The only thing you will loose is time. You have to appeal because if you don't then it means cic was right about your marriage. Do what these guys suggested and you and your husband will be in Canada before you know it. Believe me. Like I said earlier, I have seen it before. This is just part of the process. Good luck!

I am deeply and truly sorry to hear this news. This is not the news we were expecting to hear. But I believe you should go through the appeals process. You and your husband will be reunited soon. Thank you moh. Also I heard if a appeal is denyed then you can never apply for sponsorship for your spouse again. Does anyone know about this? Is it true? Or did I miss understand? Thanks so much.

NKT, It's unfounded. You can apply as long as you are eligible to sponsor. Again, please seek the help of a good lawyer if you haven't already done so. They have a lot of experience. Big hug to you, keep strong and hang in there sister.
