Hi All,
Well, good to see a thread specifically on dependent child sponsorship, actually my wife's exhaustive search led us to this thread.

My case is bit peculiar:
1. Overview: We (My wife & I) are PR, our daughter was born outside Canada and we brought her on TRV. We did not extend her TRV as was advised & ,seemed appropriate, to first renew our PR cards (we were behind on residency obligation of 2yrs) & then apply for her sponsorship instead of a TRV extension. Now, we sponsored her & she is in Canada with us.
2. Our timeline: Sponsorship Application received (as per Canada Post delivery receipt) = 12-July-2018
& since then no updates, no AOR yet.

Qs: We have an urgent trip planned for India in October & are in a dilemma on whether to take our daughter along or not? As she has already overstayed & that we haven't yet received any AOR. Cz if we take her with us, it would be difficult to bring her back to Canada (getting another TRV would be very difficult) & considering our case (she overstayed) there might be chances of a longer appl. processing or any hiccups with sponsorship.
Can anyone with a similar situation refer us to any lawyer or advise the best possible way?
Any kind of advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Members, We have also submitted the inland PR application for our dependant infant. Our application was received in Nova Scotia office on July 26 but there is no update after that. It’s been 49 days now!

Any way that we can check or follow up with CIC???

You mentioned that you submitted inland PR application. is your baby on visitor visa? I am also in a similar situation. My question is were you able to get a health card for your baby?
I am not able to get health card for my as there was no document to show the status in Canada. The immigration officer at airport did not issue any resident permit or stamp the passport.

My daughter's application has similar timeline to yours.
Date application received : 2 May 2018
AOR : 6 Jun 2018
Medical request : 15 Jun 2018
Medical check performed : 20 Jun 2018
SA : 26 Jun 2018
Letter confirming VO : 26 Jun 2018 Mississauga

I have been checking my account on a daily basis but the account still shows that they are still reviewing my sponsor application and medical check has been requested ie there has not been an updated since 15 Jun for me.

This depends on the province. I am in BC and provincial health accepted our sponsorship submission confirmation as a proof of current status. My baby also has no stamp or visa.

Depends on the province. We are in Ontario and here they take children under 12 years of age in health centres for vaccinations, check up and medication for free even if they are on visitor visa.
