Dear, there is no garuntee that 1111 will be in the new MIs.

Even if there is a shortage they do have considerable applications which needs attention.
So if the minister is really serious to reduce the backlog and there is sufficient demand for 1111, 0111, 4131, 0213, than they should not feature in the new ministerial instructions, so that the existing applications can be cleared.

The only occupation which is certain to feature is doctor/physician, cos even though they admit so many doctors they don't pass the exams and hence do some other jobs.

I have noticed that people who have submitted bank statement are asked for "Updated POF" in CAIPS....any idea about CAIPS of people who have submitted Fixed Deposit as POF?

HRD Site gives priority for mostly all NOC's. It is a projection table for a decade or so.

Current scenario is VO's started processing files again. (Guess so based on the recent movements).

Let us wait and see whats on the cards for us.

I was not asked to submit POF. V Officer was satisfied with my Fund status.

I had submitted FD's mainly (5 Years & 2 Years), Bank Statement's (have maintained that balance for over 5 years now), Mutual Funds (Up), and also my Provident Fund statement (Up).

It always good to submit all the document which helps your file. I submitted only saving account bank certificate.

Basically, it helps when you submit more fund details than what you are supposed to produce by default.

BTW your point of view is right.
If the requirement for 2 person is approx 14000 $ than if you have showed 16000$, than there won't be much issue because of the depriciated Indian currency.

Let me clear the misconception here. I had submitted Bank Statement and in my CAIPS they have mentioned 'Satisfied'. And they didn't mention 'POF' in docs required. I think only when they have some doubt, they request for POF

Btw there is nothing wrong if they ask updated 'Proof of funds'.
It won't slow down our application.
Another reason could be
1$ was equal to around 44-46 INR in 2010 and it is 50-51 in 2012.
So if your POF was bare minimum than you may be asked to show updated POF.
