Dear Smshussaini,
Thanks a lot for giving moral support at this difficult juncture. As per my information each NOC code has separate seniorty. Ur NOC 1111 is moving faster than my NOC 0111. As such NOC code 1111 has covered upto JUly/August 2010 but in case of 0111 it has hardly covered April and part of May 2010. That is why I have requested Maran1976 to confirm his real NOC and date of transfer of file. As per my assumptions ur NOC being 1111with the grace of god ur MR is expected very shortly.
With best wishes for early getting MRs.

I got a call from NDVO today at 4.30 pm, but I couldn't attend the same. When I tried to call back in just 10 mins, they said their office has closed and they have holiday tomorrow also.

This is really upsetting.

Did anyone got a call recently from NDVO?
Hi KDSTTL, wht was it then ???

Congrats, where were u for 3 years? Man I wont accept the fact that u were just a viewer of this forum and not a participant??? This is a free forum for members to discuss with each other, I feel really bad when all of a sudden u come up just to inform that u got the ticket, It would have been better if people had participated, xchged views, sympathy, frustrations, well its about , but its not late, being participative is one of the many forms of adaptability which is infact a mandatory requirement for settling in Canada, Best of Luck...

Ameetji You right i am not discuss on this forum regular from starting .Nowadays i share my opinion on this forum and i will .Thank you Sirji.

Hi KDSTTL, wht was it then ???

I called them again last week. I was told that they won't connect to the officers and if it was for any urgent reasons they would come back to me soon.
Nothing happened so far.

Hope it was just to confirm the address to which they should sent the passport.

I will keep you all posted on any further developments.

Rgds,
KDSTTL

Yes KDSTTL, keep ur fingers crossed and hope for the best, but my gut feeling is tht thy want to verify ur address...

if they were NDVO guys,
they wanted to talk, Sense the Main man behind the application papers.......
to clear some doubt emerged.

they do use internet search engines for that matter.....to reach a conclusion,
which is probably in the favor of the applicant.

address etc. is done via PCC.

PCC is not for address verification. The correspondence address to send the passport is upto the decision of the applicant. Anyway we don't know what the call was for.

There were a few other applicants who got call to verify the correspondence address.

It can also be to enquire about the history of foreign travel.

Last two days no new Visa reported on the blog. That is disappointing.

I would agree with that, there were 4-5 odd applicants on the forum here itself whom NDVO called for checking the correspondence address where PPT's were to be sent and those where applicants who had got their correspondence/permanent addresses changed before/after medical requests.

@KDSTTL, a couple of months here or there shd not matter, its infact my view is that its good that we utilize the time to get prepared for the big storm that we are going to face, am not being (-) here nor want to demoralize, but the truth is that our lives are going to change drastically once we land in Canada, specially the initial 2-3 years and specifically, the battle in getting our first job on that land. We need to gather as much information as we can during this time, upgrade our skills, am attending the CIIP with the same intentions.

Yes, I plan to enroll myself for CGA...
Initial 2-3 weeks I will not even go for job hunting....As we have to get used to their kind of language/talking style...
Last time when I was there, Canadian's couldn't easy pick-up my kind of talking...because we tend to talk faster...it was funny and then everyone advised me to talk slowly and enunciate...After two weeks it was very comfortable and easy to communicate with everyone over there...

To attend an interview, we need to make ourselves prepared like that...

Starting a new bank account...keeping some fixed deposits for taking credit cards.....credit rating is a major thing there as we all know...

OHIP and other documentation things... We have enough things to do anyway before starting the job hunt.

Regards,
KDSTTL

Great, so we are talking to an experienced guy here, so u been there for how many years? were u on job?

I went to Canada for a personal visit only....only to learn the life style/whether I would be able to adapt myself to that / where should I look for jobs and how do I go to office if I get job in a particular area (basically downtown Toronto)...

From the place where I will be staying it will be easy to go most of the places/offices in Downtown Toronto through the subway....
Don't really need to have a car.....car parking is very costly there...better not to have a car, I believe....
I am totally happy with Canadian food....smashed potatoes / pork ribs / chicken breast / even had traditional turkey dinner with some Canadian friends....Through nothing comes with spices, it was still very tasty... I may not miss Indian foods (hope so)

Even for hair cut, we have to pay CAD$20-25...so we tend to worry about cost on whatever we do....
But after a few days our mind will get automatically set to think in CAD$....

So my trip to Canada was really helpful in many ways...and hope the same will be a big advantage when I go this time....

Regarding to-do list...(I will comment later)
I didn't really have to do anything last time...

But we will get a proper advice from the immigration officers when we reach Canada airport on the things to do in the coming days and the documents we must obtain like SSN / OHIP etc.

I guess they will give us the PR card in a week or so (by default)..

Any applicants who had landed recently could comment here...that would have been excellent..

PR card in ON will take 50 days approx.

before i immigrate, i m trying to do the home work,

which is to get Transcripts (got today from DU, 9 copies)
as i wish to join a Prof course , 2-4 mths down the line.

MBA s transcripts are in pipeline.

WES and CGA both would ask for it.

renewed my driving license also.

-------------

fine tuning on language skills, will take few days/weeks, will be done automatically.

within 6 mths after landing, i believe one can be a position to set his goals for next 1-2 yrs.

this is what i m thinking on as of now,,,,,,,rest, time shall disclose.

------------

regarding ndvo calling up applicants, there cud be end no. of reasons.
but yes, definitely it is for some Confirmation or the other, so
save their no.s and set ring tones, don t miss their calls.

that ll delay your processing.
-----------

CIIP is a must, it sure is an eye opener for people who want to establish themselves professionally.......
that too sooner.

Nice...
Kindly advice why would we require transcripts for our certificates...(I thought, it is applicable only in cases where the certificates are not in English)
