Congrats to everyone who did medical.

I did my medical on 5-Dec-13 alongwith send them RPRF and updated documents. Still no lines update on ECAS. Can anybody tell whats going on under recent circumstances. How long it will take more to get PPR1?

dear it all depends on your VO. mine is two weeks after sending rprf they request for passport.

hope this fuel your optimism....

As CDD my visa officer asked me to provide copies of Bachelor and Master degrees along with MR
Should i provide just photocopies of degrees or attested copies
in case of attested copies so where should i attest copies from

1) higher education
2) from my university
3) notary public or any where

Please offer your comments.

Get these attested from HEC , HEC Islamabad will attest these same day .
Please save your time , as LVO will forward copies to HEC for verification , prior verification will save your time

Dear All,

As-Salaam-Alaikum. Can someone let me know what about the ladies who do hijab have to do about their pictures for canadian immigration? Will their pictures with hijab be accepted? I am talking about ladies who use head scarf and not the full face cover hijab.

I just checked the website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs-cit.asp and following is the extract from it:

Specifications•The photographs must be identical and taken within the last six months. They may be either black and white or colour.
•The photographs must be clear, well defined and taken against a plain white or light-coloured background.
•If the photographs are digital, they must not be altered in any way.
•Your face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, and with your mouth closed.
•You may wear non-tinted prescription glasses as long as your eyes are clearly visible. Make sure that the frame does not cover any part of your eyes. Sunglasses are not acceptable.
•A hairpiece or other cosmetic accessory is acceptable if it does not disguise your normal appearance.
•If you must wear a head covering for religious reasons, make sure your full facial features are not obscured.

So, it means that head covering is allowed. Anyways, thanks for guiding me to cic website. I totally forgot that I can check this at their website.

IOM Islamabad takes how much time to deliver paper based medical to the LVO? Does anybody have any idea about it.

What was your timeline? It means they dont have any defined rule that when they will request for PPR.

I think they have defined rule such that they decide on a case to case basis and visa allocation.

Actually, I submitted my passport for Italian visa. I have only first page, bio date, copy. In case, I do not get my passport, I would send bio date page. I hope it would be enough

You donot need to send any attested copies. Only send photocopies.
I only send them the photocopies and got MR after that.

If they specifically mentioned it then attest it.

Saeed - pls. dont misguide people if you dont know... especially on these sensitive issues. Picture with Hijab do accepted by CIC. My wife wears hijab and there's no issue. Face covered is not accepted.

Dear - if you are asking for new application to CIC then bio page is enough and any other page which contains an amendment to your profile data

I received 18months wait letter. I am sending forms upon their request.

Finally I got my passports back with stamped Visas, the wonderful Maple leaf is in my Passport, OMG I Can't describe my feelings...
