TO UNDERSTAND THE TREND OF CIC THESE DAYS,IT COULD BE OBSERVED THAT CIC IS ALREADY WORKING ON EOI-2015 TO REDUCE BACKLOG AS FOLLOWS:


EOI, AND WAY OF WORKING-2015, PROVIDED BY CIC ON 28-10-2013

As of January 2015, the EOI system will help switch from passive processing of applications in the order we get them to a prioritized system that gets in-demand people with the skills to succeed to Canada faster than ever before.

The 2014 Immigration Levels Plan makes way for Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to transition to this new system in January 2015 by continuing to reduce backlogs across the board. This will enable Canada to begin using EOI to identify the best candidates from day one.

EOI works in two steps. Prospective immigrants would indicate their interest in coming to Canada by providing information electronically about their skills, work experience and other attributes. Individuals who meet certain eligibility criteria will have their “expressions of interest” placed in a pool and ranked against others already in the pool. CIC would only invite the best candidates, including those with in-demand skills or with job offers, to apply for a visa. Expressions of interest that are not chosen after a period of time may be removed from the pool. As a result, application backlogs would not accumulate and processing times will be kept to a minimum.

We will also assess applicants on a variety of other factors such as education, work experience and language ability – with a greater emphasis on the ever-changing needs of the Canadian labour market.

The Government is working with provincial and territorial partners to make EOI a success. We are also partnering with Canadian employers so they will be ready to find candidates in the EOI pool that meet their skills requirements when the domestic labour force cannot.

Lets wait for Statistics for Quarter ending December 2013 , this report will be available in April 2014 , Long time to guess any thing , as 06 months wasted in strike -

Minister Alexander said on Sep 29,2013 that there are 62,000/- applicants in backlog - Lets assume that by Dec 2013 if CIC issues another 18000/- Visas , Backlog of FSW by Dec 31 would be around 44000 , add 15000 for FSW 2013 = 59000/-

We can anticipate that 95% of FSW Backlog will be cleared by Dec 2014 , and few unlucky will be in process

+1 for your brother, You are right brother...it will be hard target to achieve because of global competition :-\
I guess 10% will hardly qualify that target...it will be like a lottery systems after lot of years in education, + work experience + POF + IELTS + etc... but whoever will be selected will go very fast...this is for sure....

Ya Allah tera be intaha shukar hai hamara kaam honay ki umeed nazar aaarahi hai aur hum Alhamdulillah keh siwa aur kuch bhi nahin keh saktay....everybody must say Alhamdulillah that we are in line which is kind of last chance...

Alhamdulillah and I also suggest all to do some charity after receiving the MR & Visa, you can do niyyat according to your budget....
For example instead of paying consultant I decided some amount for charity and paid 50% after receipt of MR & 50% on Visa stamping...insha Allah...
