So, MI-4 is finally here...

300 applications per profession...192 countries in the world,.... That's 1.5 application for each profession, per country...so, good luck to everyone who s about to apply (trust me, u ll need luck).

I feel very few will qualify from pakistan and developing countires, (whose education in not recognized in canada) . The purpose of this "education assesment" is that whether your degree is acceptible in canada and can u start working in the same profession from the day u land....We all know that paki doctors/engineers (and from other developing countries) end up driving taxis, coz their degrees r not recognized in canada, and they r asked to do a 4 year degree....and canadian govt/kenny know that the people they invited as doctors/engineers r now driving cabs...and they have said it also in their press releases that we don't need taxi driving doctors/engineers....

so hence this educational assesment thing has started....God help the people who wanna qualify now, as the window has become extremely small....so very few will get through (a total of 5000 from all over the world)...so, let's see.

shukar karein we applied in the old stream...this new stream is not gonna favor most...my last 'theory of 3 years' still holds ! Let's hope to God this one gets proven wrong ...and more n more people qualify from devoping countries.....since we need it the most ! Let's see. Time will tell.

you are 100% right... luck will play tough role here.

5k intake per yr is real low number but something is better than nothing. I guess they really want to clear the backlog

Edu assement is not a new concept in immi world.. Aus & NZ are already doing this and lot of people from development world gets qualified.

Dear Seniors,
I am going to send my application to PVO just wanted to check with others if i am sending the correct / complete set of documents. I still have to do the medicals and i have been told that they will send the medical forms them selves.

please comment if i have missed any thing.

I will send the following :-

- print of the email that they had sent to me
- IMM 0008, validated and signed
- IMM 5669, for principal applicant and spouse
- IMM 5406, for principal applicant and spouse
- IMM 5562, for principal applicant and spouse
- photocopy of passport page for principle applicant, spouse, both kids.
- proof of bank transfer for RPRF
- police certificate from pakistan
- police certificate from bahrain

I am not sending the following items:-

- photos of any one
- any form for military exemption. i am just mentioned "NONE" in the section 11 of form IMM 5669.
- any form filled for RPRF.

i hope this is correct. please comment and tell me if i missed anything

u r doing it professionl way. u dont need any guidance. just attache one letter mention that ur application consists of all these things and at the end write them dd no and amount and bank details etc, in my openion u can send them also Photos, because at the end they will ask u to update ur phots and at that time it will waste ur time. just mention the date and name and file no on ur photos. dear coolguy2010, after reaching medical to vo, it took some time 2 months then they add 3rd line, therfore u should request GCMS after 3 months of medical done to see any additionl info in gcMS, anyhow if u have applied then no problem, but u should again ask gcms after 3 monts of medical receipt by VO, this all is my personl openion.
