Hi,

I also got my 6-12 months letter on 20th March 2012. I am married and wondering if we 'plan' our first baby now, will it get me in to trouble as there is a possibility of getting medical requests within the next 9 months (I wish to believe so!!!) In that case, doing X-Ray seems to be a risk for the fetus. Is it advisable that we do a medical report in advance from the same doctors / clinics who do medical check ups for Canadian immigration? Is such a medical report accepted by CIC?

Has any one known of any incidents that the medical checkups were repeated? It is a catch 22 situation for us, as having a baby is important for the family, and also getting the immigration process cleared without any further delays. This is the 3rd year since marriage we are waiting for CIC to clear things, that we make plans on family and where to settle down on a long term basis...

Your comments / feedbacks on what possible issues or advantages I may encounter, are highly appreciated. Thanks.

Dear ASK,

You cannot really plan your marital life around your application.. What if -for any reason God forbid- it lasted even longer.. Some people were already in the system for 8 years! .. Just go on with your life & be happy & when things come along in your immigration process, there is always a way.. Also, pregnancy is a whole 9 months.. Maybe you will be then already in Canada & give birth there :)

Having a child is a responsibility but still the best thing that is ever going to happen to you & much much more important than your immigration process -believe me-.. So don't risk delaying it for the sake of not delaying the immigration process..

I wish you would have the most beautiful & blessed baby so that you would feel the happiness it holds..

Good luck dear

You cant predict the working style of LVO . My friend applied with me and we both have same NOC, same dates of application submission, same month of 1st & 2nd AOR. The only difference is, He is living and working in London. On Thursday 20th Sep 2012 he called me and informed me that he got the MR.

plz note that he never receive 6-12 month wait letter.

What is this????? can nay one explain.... :(

that's called LUCK my friend, i believe in it, by the way, i think the in process with date is different for you, i mean, it could be the case when your file came out of "Received by visa office" queue in to "in process with date" it was already too late for this years visa quota hence they issued you "6-12 wait letter" and in case of your friend's file, it might have came earlier into in process, therefore, BINGO....he got MR ;)

Thank you Basmalahh for your time and advice. Really appreciate it. Yes, its a fact that one cannot really plan marital life around an immigration application. We are prepared to take the next step in life towards parenthood, God willing. Having a baby is more worth than any other worldly possession...

My concern is - should we just wait another 6 more months max to do that. 6 months out of '6 to 12 months wait letter' has already passed. In my personal experience, till date, I have always heard from CIC within the time frame they have mentioned in their communication. After being active in this forum, I come across many individuals to whom CIC has not kept their word. And this exactly has started causing confusion. I don't want to be called 'Dad' at an age when I should be called 'Grandpa'!!! (God willing) Let God lead us through...
