Thoz who got 6-12 months wait letter

Is this possible alone to Canada after Immigration. What are the advantages and disadvantages of travelling to canada with out family (also added in application to immigrate to Canada).

Yes it is possible to go alone but this should only be done some worse case where you need to earn some money for your family arrival and your visa validity has a reasonable time….
Because you can’t save something just in 2-3 months so better take your family with you as there is no guarantee that you will have job when you are alone….
So nothing to worry about money Allah will give you rizq wherever you go but must take with you cash to survive for 6 months as per CIC guidelines and do your best to find a job….
And I say if your target as per CIC is CAD $ 20k then you should take another CAD $ 10k extra to have the basic setup things for your life…
For example: You also need to have a Car which will cost you minimum CAD $ 5-6k and some other electronics and kitchen things so lets say CAD $ 3-4k

I would say if you have any land or home in house just sell it and take hard cash/draft with you so you will have backup for a longer period and also you may need some money for some educational courses….

Hi, we applied in 2010 and are still waitng!!! we got the 6-12 months letter in july 2012 and heard nothing despite two staus requests untill last november asking now for a new application package as they had changed the forms since we applied. i contacted my Mp who made a status inquiry and were informed medical requests had been sent out but they hadnt. neeless to say still waiting and VERY frustrated. it was four years yesterday we applied and were initially informed it would take 6 to 9 months to process NOT!

What is a 6-12 months wait letter?
I am a December 2012 MPNP applicant. My file got transferred to NEW DELHI in Jan 2014. E-mail message said that embassy will contact me within 6 months !!

Does this mean that i have got a 6-12 months wait letter?

Please help & clarify !!

if you were told that Medical Requests have been sent, then it might possible they have been undelivered or delivered at wrong add etc.

in either case make a status inquiry asap

cuz it happens to some applicants that they did receive letters that cic had sent them med req and they did not respond so there case will be refused so and so

so i think it will be good to make a inquiy and check for any uppdates.

hey all i finally got the second part of email - Medical forms, but but but

they mentioned my Address which i was living a year back, even in UAE - on the E-case my address is updated, but still they mentioned my old address. i spoke to my friend who works in a immigration consultancy - he mentioned as long the ecase is updated. its fine. any suggestion please

So its pretty obvious now that middle east applicants, after medical, r gettin ppr very soon and paki applicants r sidelined. So many waiting for re-meds...I ve completed 5 months since medical....waiting for 7th or 8th month for ppr....hope we get within this medical, that's all one can hope.

May be you are right as many members got PPR + visa within a month after medicals

dont be upset, as the current situation, you will get MR within 2 months i pray and also now its also faster after MR so, as soon as you will do MR, you will also get PPR with 2/3 months max. best of luck.
