-- WARNING --

Do NOT make any deduction from eCAS. The online tool does NOT work properly.
All users have different experiences, which proves CIC's official statement regarding eCAS : the application is NOT reliable just yet for some.

CIC's official website states the following :
"Please note that some applicants are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our e-Client Application Status online tool. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may refer to the processing times web page for an estimate of how long it may take to process your application. Thank you for your patience."

lol funny how some got PPR and ECAS didn't change and some (me) got ECAS changing to DM and no PPR :'( :P

Hi Icanadian,

sorry if this ia pretty basic question but What is GCMS?? how do you know ur file is in Ottawa? and what is R10 ?
does file goes to ottawa after all checks passed like BG and eligibility ??
our immigration file informations are stored in GCMS. We can request GCMS notes under Right to information Act. It takes 30 days to get those notes. I did one such request and found this information that my file is lying down at Ottawa office. R10 check is just a preliminary check to know if you submitted all documents, they verify your language test results and pcc through some website where they validate those authenticity. Also they verify if your ECA and if your education details matches with work experience and quoted NOC. They also do a RCMP screening and check for traces. Then initiate your BG with some third party which they hide in notes. So as per ur question BG and Eligibility are still not complete when it reaches Ottawa. I just briefed some since there are plenty of things they do before a file moves fron CPC to primary visa office

yep! I've been doing that for 17 days now... and counting... ;D
I even called CIC, twice, and both times the agent told me that a favorable decision had been made on my application, but the PPR could take from 3 days to 3 months (I wonder how she got to those numbers ::))

Im sorry for the random question/s:

1. If you get PPR will they notify you via email ? Or do they contact you via snail-mail by any chance? (outside canada)
2. How do you send your PP ? Courier service like DHL/Fedex? or is there a seperate carrier ? Should we send a return envelop with paid postage?

thnx

I got ppr today! Needless to say Im over the moon.
My Ecas still 3 lines with wrong dates. Mycic still shows what I have in my signature. I didnt have any documents request, and only one update email on Friday and ppr request this morning.
CEC inland single applicant
NOC 6311

Thanks for all the help and moral support for everyone. :D

Ps. still no news on my BOWP application (crazy)

Hi!

This is my first time to post in this forum. I also received AOR last April. And today, the long awaited PPR has been received! :D

Here's my timeline

ITA: Feb 20, 2015 (CEC; NOC 3131)

March 27: Meds done
April 2: Submitted online application
April 24: Received AOR
May 6: Background check in progress; Medical: Passed

ECAS: 3 lines: Application received

July 11: email received: application has been updated (but nothing has changed in both ECAS and MyCIC)
July 13: PPR (8am PST)

ECAS as of July 13: application received;
MyCIC status as of July 13 (1600H PST):
Application: open;
Interview/additional documents: not needed at this time
Review of eligibility and background check: In progress

Good luck to all applicants who are still waiting for their PPR's. Stay positive! ;)

-- PPR situations / UPDATED up to July 14 [included] --

See below, uploaded an Excel file with all the April timelines & PPR statuses - to have a better and clearer view of our global situation ;)

Feel free to download and edit to add missing info [please, KEEP IT ONLY to AORs received in April] :D

Seeing actual data will help many April applicants to cool down and relax, after comparing their situation to similar ones on this spreadsheet.

Congratulations to all with the PPR.

I'm hoping to see something/change as well soon.

Morning friends, just an update, so I logged onto ECAS this morning, and my profile had changed from Application Received to In Process. What does that mean?? No access to My CIC
