ITA: March 27th (FSW, score 490)
Submitted: April 22nd
AOR: April 22nd
Medical Passed: June 1st
Background Check: June 1st "In Progress"

ECAS (Application Received with 3 Lines)

my work permit is expiring in august, I have requested for GCMS notes. Planning to apply for BOWP with GCMS notes.

Hope to get PPR before that

2 applicants wth AOR on 7 and 10th april got ppr last week..

April AOR thread is really full of people getting updates on their applications and PPRs. But apparently, these are all applicants from outside Canada.
The question is: Has anyone applying from inside Canada with AOR in April received PPR yet?

They do a passport request to stamp the PR visa on your passport, so you can do the flagpole at Canadian borders

No updates so far... Neither medicals... They are shown as "Not needed at this time".
I've submitted a SPC since my physician submitted the medical on March 20th.

I have 456 and I'm CEC.

I started this thread so as to try and weed out all the people that applied outside of Canada because all the information they put on it is misleading and not anything to do with my situation!

So stressful to be checking ECAS every 30min or so... :'( ???

And nnik got AOR on April 1st, 1st day of April, means that CIC is about to touch our Aprilists' applications.

Hi etkuo, the AOR you received on Jun 02, does it say that "Your application is being checked to determine whether it meets the requirements of a complete application" or it says "CIC has reviewed your application and determined that it meets the requirements of a complete application"?

It was the first AOR, so the one that's says "Your application is being checked to determine whether it meets the requirements of a complete application". Me and another board member (curious_123) were waiting for our AORs for nearly 2 months (in fact I think curious_123 is still waiting for his).

My PGWP is expiring on Jun27. I applied for my BOWP via online without any AORs on May07. In hindsight I should have waited till now (as late as possible) via paper to buy myself the most amount of time.

Fingers crossed though I still hope we will all hear something soon.

Esantos, yer there are so many people moving in many different directions on here, I can only check my ECAS as I hired a solicitor to do my paperwork so they are the only ones that can check MyCIC page, they send me screen shots once a week so its frustrating for sure!!

Etquo, Did you apply from inside Canada? If so that time line is very disjointed in relation to how CIC normally do things? My AOR was received a few days after submitting my application to them, not after all the checks had been done??

Ya most people received their AORs within minutes of submitting our application but somehow both curious_123 and I never received our AOR until 2 months in when background checks are already in progress and medical passed already

Thanks for this thread. I was just asking myself the same question if all those PPR people from April are from out-of-Canada. Good to know I'm not alone that makes the waiting way less stressful.

I'm also applying from inside Canada.

My timeline:

Additional Document Request April 16 (CELPIP)
Medicals Passed April 26

You wouldn't believe how freaked out I was that I got the CELPIP request just one day after applying. But since then, nothing.

MyCIC is the usual: Background in progress, Medicals passed, Eligibility in progress, Additional documents provided
ECAS three lines.

Hi Popey778,
In my checklist, CIC ask for Employment record and Letter of Employment for my present job.
Both Employment record and Letter of Employment are required to indicate the job title, duties, number of work hours, salaries, etc, it seems that the two documents just the same thing, their information is overlap.

Have I understood correctly?
