Thanks all so much. We are very relieved and happy. So by the end of next week we will be able to send them off. They have not asked for new medical yet so just kind of wondering how long before we get the letter to have it redone and then ppr. I hope its possible for him to have the visa in his hands by the end of sept. Is that too much to ask for? ;D

thanks.. I sure hope so. I want to go over for a week and then we come home together. I will have to apply for a visa soon but that doesnt take anymore than a week to get, but just need to figure on when the earliest is we can expect to have the passport with visa in our hands.

Thank you so much. It was a nail bitter but somehow it worked out. I will be 100% relaxed when I see the pcc in his hands. My husband has not been outside the country so it shouldnt take too long for security checks. Hopefully.

This has been a ridiculous journey, just to get a simple PCC. My husband has been going every day trying to push things along since our documents have to be in delhi by next friday. The passport office took nearly three weeks just to send the file to the police department. My husband was very persistant and we think its going to pay off. So now the file is now back at the passport office and they told him it should be ready tomorrow. We just hope they are not putting him off since our time is running out. I contracted delhi and told them the police certificate is taking alot more time and they said send it all in when we have it. BUT I just dont trust the officer in delhi so we want to get this over with soon. Still have not gotten a request for new medical. Does anyone know when they usually ask for it?

At this point boyee they may not ask for a new one,they may just give him the visa with a one month expiry.Its up to them i guess,but like i said before he can go get a new medical when ever he likes just do it the same way you have done it before,i know they have a medical redue form but you dont need it, you can go do the same one as before.just reprint the medical form off the site get some photos and go,send in the results and if they do require them they will go get them.Or just wait to seeif they even require them.

I hope they dont ask for new one just so no more time is taken to get his visa. Its been nearly a year since we saw each other and its been a strain, but we cope very well I think. Anyways, just like everyone here, we want to wake up from this nightmare and be in the same bed when we do.

My husband went to the passport office today after some tough moments he finally got the PCC. I was so relieved I cried. So now we send everything in tomorrow and get to meet the deadline with no problems. And then its wait for the next step.

I'm so happy for you. I can relate the pain of getting a police certificate. We waited ELEVEN months to get my husband's police certificate from Iraq. It drove me INSANE.

yes me too. We didnt have to wait that long but my husband had to go every day and push and push and so yesterday they said come back at 5pm and pick up your documents. So he went and they said oh yours has not been processed. My husband said the assistant officer told me to come today and get things. He said go speak to him. So my husband went there and he was very worried since we had to have this soon. they looked and saw his police documents but didnt see the certificate. so they told him again to wait. So he waited and waited and finally they gave it to him. When he told me I just sat down and cried with relief.
