Hi guys,
sent the pr application including the open work permit application on December 22 2015.
How long does it take to get anything from immigration Canada?
how long will the open work permit application take usually?
How long for my spouses portion take to be approved?

OWP will take around 4 months to be approved.

Sponsor portion will take around 16 months to be approved.

I have heard of cases of the whole process taking as little as 5 months for everything!!! Most people I know it has taken about 7-12 months from the time you submit the application until you land in your destination. I guess it depends on how simple your case is and how fast CIC is working

Inland applications take more than 16 months to process
The 5 months you heared about is if you've applied from a foreign country
